The OK symbol is the other way up.
AFAIK that gesture is from Malcolm in the middle, and is not racist at all. This is a very popular symbol and is used a lot online, via videos etc.. To me, seems this guy pretty much won, how viral he got the circle.

TTT

This is a common hand gesture that a 4chan trolling campaign claimed in 2017 had been appropriated as a symbol meaning "white power."

It is used by many on the right (not just extremists) for the purpose of trolling liberals, the symbol eventually came to be used by actual white supremacists as well.

I did not know that right wing cretins were doing this, and had to look up the symbol.

Onanists.
it's seen as a WP (white power) signal. It was originally promoted as a hoax by white supremacists to goad those dumb liberals into denouncing it; but unfortunately white supremacists themselves seem to have taken it seriously.

I spend too long typing...

first I've heard of it, so now a few numpties mis use a common popular symbol and wallop anyone using it is a racist by proxy? The world's gone mad.
Question Author
so if they start using the mobot will that become racist? the lightening Bolt? It looks like TROB over reacting to me.
Have you done your usual thing of not reading the provided links properly, TGT?

They explain that this gesture has now been adopted 'in all seriousness' by those wishing to display their racist credential by gesture alone.
TTT - think of it this way...the swastika had a completely different meaning until the 30s. It used to be an ancient religious icon.

The okay symbol will simply remain the okay symbol for practically everyone, but it’s good that you brought up this thread - always useful to know what the scumbags are up to.

I think no-one would’ve known...

Aww...you’re going back to using initials.

I’m out.
In Turkey that gesture means ‘top boy’ or gay man. It’s not the OK gesture it’s the OK gesture inverted.

//Have you done your usual thing of not reading the provided links properly, TGT?//

Ha ha...

I’ll give you three guesses.

No. Changed my mind.

I’ll give you one guess.
"it’s good that you brought up this thread - always useful to know what the scumbags are up to. "

Yes i totally agree.

yes JTT/SP I read the links and those above. Now you appear to have done your usual thing of missing the point by a parsec. So some scum outfit adopts a symbol and we all back away from it? Right oh! How are us ordinary folk supposed to go on when we could all be accused of some ism or other when we had no idea that a symbol or word or action, once ok, is now verboten? That's the point sad I had to explain it.
well, have you backed away from using swastikas or not?
The ok symbol is the other way up to the bloke doing it in the picture.
The swastika was never used by the general popular. It was a spiritual symbol. The OK symbol is widely used, especially in scubadiving.
Question Author
I never used them anyway, before my time jno, you?
Do you often make the inverted 'OK' sign, geezer?
It will obviously have a tremendous impact on your daily life to no longer be able to make the gesture without people believing you to be some sort of racist....
Question Author
that's another parsec JTT, not much but but I don't want TROB labeling me racist if I do. So they can hijack any symbol can they then we all must give it up? What if they adopt the thumbs up sign next?
