Has the milk delivery round been wiped out in your area. I've not seen one in mine for at least 5 years

We had a leaflet from one a couple of years ago. They also provided juice and veg.
We still have a guy who whizzes about the place in a van that a couple of young lads jump in and out of, delivering milk n eggs.
No. We have a Wren Davies dairy across the road. The floats are out every night, but do a lot more than just milk.
Very many areas now go to the supermarket for their milk. So milkman are on the whole confined to the social history books.
haven't seen one for years round here (charnwood, leicestershire)

Well I have a shop within a minutes walk away so delivery would be pointless. Plus we have shopping delivery and I freeze milk.
My mother in law does that, ummmm, no equipment, she just stands and stares at it.
We have so many elderly people around here that cannot easily get to the shops, or use the internet, I can't see the service running out any time soon.
I don't think there is one here.
No milkman for at least 10 years near me! with a local shop 50 yards away open 6 am to 10 pm and two 24hour supermarkets within a mile there is no need !
none in my neighbourhood for many years. I think all the dope peddlers have moved to Essex too.
We still have a milkman deliver our milk. He used to do a lot of deliveries on our road but as people have moved on, he now delivers to a lot fewer houses.
It's not like the 'old days' though is it ? The electric milk float coming down the street in the early hours of the morning, sometimes waking us up. A by-gone nostalgic memory.
Have had the same milk round for 60 years. Obviously not the same milkman !! At present we have a young couple with a small farm trying to eke out a living. They are here in all weathers on the dot. No complaints and I don't mind paying that bit extra. Call me daft but I just cannot sack them .
I still have my milk delivered. You can have food delivered too.
I prefer the taste of the milk from a bottle in my tea.
Had a guy setting up round about 18 months ago so thought I would support a local business. But problem is for us is that we can never predict how much milk we are going to use and ended up throwing more away than using, so ended up cancelling order. Was nice to have glass bottles again. Can still remember as a youngster bringing milk in that had pierced foil tops from birds getting at the cream.
We have a milkman and he comes down our road in his float at all hours :-)
We dont have milk delivered but its hanging on in some areas. Check here for local knowledge.

our milk-women run around all over the place - black and white with udders that they all have......
There’s one in our village but we don’t use it. Never seen the point. We get everything else delivered, why not milk.
