Danny,'shown her 'mettle'...

Does that make her the new 'Iron Lady' ;-)
lol
^If only!
Will the next Conservative Party conference anthem be 'Backstabbers' by The O'Jays?
out of those in the list I'd go for Raab. Best of a bad bunch.
No to Mr. Javid.
No to Boris. Most politicians wait until they are further up the ladder before being caught with their trousers round their ankles. Anyone that has an affair and an extramarital child is way too sneaky for me. And then there is the fact that as soon as Mrs May said she would resign, he suddenly decided to vote for the crap deal.
No to Andrea Leadsom and Michael Gove. Both campaigned for Brexit, yet approved Mrs. May’s deal too quickly. Obviously for the sake of their own careers.
I liked JRM up until a couple of days ago, until (in yet another career move) he said he could vote for the deal.
In fact, no to anyone who claimed to be for brexit, but will now vote for the deal.
The most common ‘excuse’ seems to be “if we don’t vote for it, there may be no Brexit.”
If they really believe that, then they should be fighting to the death!

Although not in the running, I like Mark Francois.

As Will Self would say 'The eyes have it,the eyes have it' ;-)
I have followed the Political career of Philip Hammond over the past five years and his clear thought process and ability to articulate in a calm and measured way has impressed me and augured well for a future P.M.
But his name has never been mentioned so far, in political discussions.

Why?
Sqad. Maybe he doesn't want the job.
LOL..I never thought of that danny LOL
//But his name (Hammond)has never been mentioned so far, in political discussions.

Why?//

Easy,he has far too much charm and charisma for the role...
+ he's a lying ***.
Talking of lying ***s. When that 'punch a muslim' letter was going around Javid claimed to have had one. He certainly didn't receive the one he claimed to have received.
I've also wondered that, Sqad.
What exactly has Andrea Leadsome done to 'show her mettle'? Perhaps I have missed something.

Certainly she strikes me as being more of a religious lunatic than Javid does. I can't say I've been impressed by Javid's posturing as home sec but he does seem relatively sane.
Kromo, Have you watched the BBC Parliament channel? I have frequently and that is what I based my opinion on.
I don't do so often, no. What have you seen from her that impressed you?
sqad; Hammond is biggest creep of them all, he has been a bad chancellor having made no plans other than for a no-Brexit outcome, which has been his personal ambition and ignored completely the wishes of the people.
He has been steering May along the disastrous path she had been on for the last 2 years plus.
Her knowledge, calmness and her ability to give as good as she gets when challenged.
LOL...OK Khandro.
