I see the clarification now too.
//The only way to avoid no deal is to cancel A50 ... //

That outcome wouldn't surprise me in the least. I've had my doubts from the beginning that Brexit would be allowed to happen.

the house can decide what it likes but that does not alter the EU's position and they are not going to open the negotiations again.
Question Author
yes Naomi, they've been wriggling on all sides to thwart democracy. If that happens, expect civil unrest.
The EU certainly hold all the aces irrespective of what happens from this point.

The damage done by Mrs May's agreement is irrevocable. There is no coming back from this.
TTT, //If that happens, expect civil unrest. //

Do you really think that will happen?
ag, //The damage done by Mrs May's agreement is irrevocable. There is no coming back from this. //

I think you're right.
The weekend protest bu the Remainers was exceedingly good natured. However, the way this is heading Brexiteers will,to use Farage's terminology, mobilise at short notice and in masses.

Poll Tax riots? You ain't seen anything yet I fear....
:o/
Without a doubt Naomi,I think major unrest, not just in the capital,is inevitable.
Question Author
naomi: "Do you really think that will happen? " - you mean revoking A50 or civil unrest? In any case, yes to both, I think they are terrified of giving us our country back.
TTT, I meant civil unrest.

ag, I don't know what to think. It seems to me that the majority of parliamentarians have, and are, supporting 'Remain', and by far the most vocal in all of this, both in the media and nationwide, are the 'Remainers'. Whether or not the Brexiters will finally stand up and have their say in any meaningful way remains to be seen. As far as I can tell, so far, they've been shouted down and ridden roughshod over.
I agree Naomi but Brexiteers have shown remarkable tolerance and restraint but every dog has its day.

We have seen what is capable with the response to the Duggan shooting and look what happened beyond the capital.

Whatever the final figure was for the protestors at the weekend it was considerable and people ventured from far and wide. With social media and the capability of drawing on huge support we have yet to see the response but time is running out for the Government and Brexiteers have had enough and it is just when not if before we see the catastrophic impact.

We may be seen as the laughing stock among Europe but if they were in any doubt as to the feeling and malaise from the Brexiteers they will soon see on their screens how angry much of the UK is.
Parliment is now responsible for Brexit. If through Parliment we don’t get Brexit it will be down to every single MP.

I don’t fancy their chances of re-election either way.
//If through Parliment we don’t get Brexit it will be down to every single MP. //

The horse has already bolted. The chance was already there to deliver a Brexit full of opportunity and deliver strength for Britain and Mrs May blew it.

Whatever happens now is purely consequential.
Delivering a Brexit full of opportunity and deliver strength for Britain is still available. Cancel the extension. Wait a few more days.
OG - I admire your optimism!
//I don’t fancy their chances of re-election either way. //

I won't vote for my 'Remainer' Conservative MP again.
>The chance was already there to deliver a Brexit full of opportunity and deliver strength for Britain and Mrs May blew it.

Could you describe what it would have looked like and that it would have been accepted by MPs because I doubt it very much
FF - one that isn't so diluted that it is worthless and one that would still leave the UK paying large subs!

Mrs May has banged on constantly that the deal she secured was the 'best deal possible'.

Who really believes that?
