Who knows what will happen but I am not holding my breath for a good outcome.
Why stop blaming the government? As far as Brexit goes, the lunatics have always had control of the asylum.
We'll have to see whether they can come up with anything. I would be interested to see an example of the sort of new idea that they think might be achievable and wouldn't ignore the Referendum result
We can surely go on blaming the Tory government for the utter shambles - which they and they alone were responsible for - as regards Brexit. They clearly couldn't organise an act of coition in a bordello!
Well Naomi- if no-one can come up with anything that is achievable and better than the ideas rejected so far (no deal, May's deal, 2nd referendum) then it does show what an impossible task the government had given its slender majority
I think it's funny. FUNNEEEE!! LOL! :o)

Naomi: 08:40 up to now, not any more.
Well Jeremy is equally clueless 10CSt.
Question Author
As I see there are 3 choices in the time available:
1. Accept May's deal
2. Exit with No deal on 12/4
3. Cancel A50 and remain
1 ain't gonna happen so it's out of 2 and 3. No time for anything else.
TTT, //Naomi: 08:40 up to now, not any more. //

I disagree. The government is responsible for this.
Question Author
did you see the vote last night? from now on the government is not running things.
Is there an Option 4, TTT- postpone A50 for a couple of years and maybe have a2nd referendum (although i doubt we'd ever reach agreement on the questions)
Maybe TTT and naomi are at cross-purposes here
TTT, I didn't see the vote, but if this is what's happened then the fault lies with the government for its mishandling of negotiations.
fiction-factory, //Maybe TTT and naomi are at cross-purposes here //

I don't think so. I read TTT as saying the government is no longer responsible - and I can see what he means. However, in my opinion it has to take responsibility for its mishandling of Brexit and hence, for allowing this situation to arise at all.
As I understand it, it's just indicative votes. They'd need to pass more than that to grab control. The bigger issue is May going for extensions and trying to dis no-deal. But that aside it's still a case of wait and see.
Question Author
yes naomi but they are no longer in control so what happens now is not down to them, that is the point of this post.
FF, the extension has been dictated by the EU they'd never go that long. As I have said before , no deal is looking inevitable. They have a fortnight to do something and we have already tipped our hand to the EU so they ain't budging. The only way to avoid no deal is to cancel A50 which is by the way preferable to May's deal.
TTT, //yes naomi but they are no longer in control so what happens now is not down to them, that is the point of this post. //

I know and I've acknowledged that.
The Government cannot be exonerated from its handling of the Brexit fiasco just because responsibility has now been partly transferred.

It should never have come to this and the blame clearly lies with the Government.
However,as far as I understand it whatever ,if anything, gains a majority in the Commons the Government is not legally bound to go with it.
