I doubt he’ll get 14 months.

Didn't you bother with the second link, chill?
Hypocrisy.... 14 years would seem a long time for being an insensitive idiot... more than the actual perpetrators often receive?
I hope when Mrs May next takes tea with Erdogan that she will tell him to his face that she highly disapproves.

It's unbelievable...if Trump used an Islamist terror attack during his election campaign it would be wall to wall coverage on our TV's
(And this thread would be in triple figures already)

I hadn't seen any footage of the attack until just now...on a giant screen at one of Erdogan's rallies.
Didn't you bother with the second link, chill?

I did, but it bore no relevance whatsoever to the usual newspaper hyperbole of the first, whereby they always tell readers what the maximum sentence is for whatever crime they’re reporting on.
Those involved almost never get anything near such sentences.
Presumably he’s in trouble becaus they think he’s sympathetic.
Whereas Erdogan I’d imagine I’d giung it to whip up his supporters who presumably strongly disapprove.

Like chill, I don’t think the two are comparable. One is joe bloggs in trouble with a scandalised democracy unused to such atrocities, much less the sharing of them on social media, and the other is an autocratic ruler who like all autocratic rulers does as he pleases. All the NZ authorities can reasonably do is complain.

Only Tommy Robinson threads are capable of three figures Talbot ;-)

Erdogan “is doing it”
Sorry
I doubt the teen will get as long as that, probably depends on what the content of the other messages inciting extreme violence were.

As far as Erdogan is concerned, I'm not sure how surprised to be - it's a very low thing to have done.
It's the age of social media these days.. Just because they can and no one says no people think it's ok.. Maybe he should get some time just to make an example of.
sociopathic behaviour.

I would have thought there would be more focus on the 'meanwhile' link...but hey-ho
well yeah but the minister obviously has an agenda for that who knows its odd though for sure

what do you think talbot do you want / like to watch the footage?
Question Author
In English, spath
do you want to see a man shooting a load of other men dead?
Question Author
What makes you ask that dumb question?
the maximum sentence ( alot of the time 7 or 14 y) has nothing to do with any sentence
( which here is set out in the sentencing guidelines)

but we all really knew that didnt we?
The main issue was not so much the sharing of the footage but the inciting violence and hate messages that accompanied it. It was all over the place at the time, you could watch it literally everywhere, thousands must have shared it, but most were appalled by it and their messages reflected that. They have not been arrested, it's this person's use of the footage that caused his arrest.
“What makes you ask that dumb question?“
What makes you not answer it?

Reason for question is, it’s refering to your second link would you want to ralley with people and watch a man shoot down other men?

I think its warped
