Ah but, come one months time, they'll still be ruled by EU monsters and we'll be free!! Who'll be laughing then, eh?
Gromit - // We seem to be the laughing stock of Europe... //

We always have been - and a little awareness of that attitude going in to the negotiations would have prevented us rolling over like idiots, and fighting with some spirit and courage - and would not have landed us with this sorry mess.
perhaps but we'll be free soon gromit, why don't you just move to one of the 27 nations ruled by your EUSSR masters, they you'll be happy.

Tora,
I won’t be moving anywhere for the same reason you didn’t relocate to somewhere outside the EU in the last 40 years.
If, Assuming the worse and Brexit is cancelled, do you have anywhere not in the EU where you will go?
Pressganged!
///Gromit - // We seem to be the laughing stock of Europe... //
We always have been ///

some years ago, a French guy went to board a westbound express at Paddington and finding the front coach oddly empty, he took his seat there. only then did he see the window cards - "for Reading passengers only". he was heard to mutter "agh, les anglais" as he went off to buy a newspaper......
no not at all gromit, I'll still live here, I've just never understood why you and your ilk hate this country so much. I would not live in a country I hated.
"her tactic of delaying and trying to pander to the Brexiteer lobby and the DUP". She's actually been pandering to the remainers as otherwise we'd have had a decent Brexit deal, or an admission that the EU weren't prepared to agree one, but merely rejected any sensible solutions and point at us demanding more clarity, and further solutions from us.

"pro-Brexit lobby's "fantasies" on the Irish border" And there's an example of solutions they not only reject in order to be awkward, but mock as well.

"non-existent technological solutions" Ah my fault, I thought they were technically competent enough to have CCTV on mainland Europe.

""The tormenting wait continues," declares Austria's Der Standard, blaming "the irresponsibility of fanatics"" Well that we can agree on, but there was no alternative to trying to negotiate with the EU elite :-(

"They seem incapable of compromise" Indeed, we in the UK have been pointing out this for ages, while some approve of the EU setting out its negotiating position early and doggedly sticking to it uncompromisingly ever since.

etc. etc. etc. Can't be fussed to go through the lot. And yet you say they think this is something to laugh at ? Sums them up I suppose.

Don’t be silly Tora, I do not hatey country, quite the opposite.which is why I don’t want it ruined in the near future by this utter shambles of a Government.
but you want us to be ruled by an un elected corrupt foreign power?
"...perhaps but we'll be free soon gromit,"

If only I could share your optimism, 3Ts.
I opened the link and could find no quote or statement that suggests that the UK is "the laughing stock" of Europe. Would you kindly point out the relevant references to this or is it your own twisted interpretation of what is actually contained in the piece?
to take your headline, we are the laughing stock of Europe precisely because of the activities of those, like you, that have sided with our enemies.
Togs, people like gromit look classy eyed across the channel at how lovely it all is yet, though they can, they don't actually go there. It's always been a mystery to me.
We'll be the ones laughing last ;-)

(Apologies if you've seen this)

OG: // She's actually been pandering to the remainers ... //

Hahahahahaha oh goodness no.

Togo
// In France, Le Monde believes "the Brexit... is dead", while politically Theresa May is "hardly in better condition". //

Sounds to me like they are having a laugh at our expense.
As well they may because this has been the greatest political balls-up since Suez and is arguably considerably worse.
Question Author
Tora, * sigh*

// you want us to be ruled by an un elected corrupt foreign power? //
- No I don’t, and we are not ruled by the EU.

// you, that have sided with our enemies. //
- No I haven’t. We joined a treaty 40 years ago precisely NOT to be enemies.

// people like gromit look classy eyed across the channel at how lovely it all is yet, though they can, they don't actually go there. //
- Again total fiction. I do not envy any other country, and certainly have no desire to live anywhere else..

Why don’t you stick to the question instead of making stuff up about someone you don’t know and who you have never met.
