When he wasPrime Minister of Luxembourg he set it up as a tax haven for the likes of EBay and PayPal. When he got his present job he was determined to stamp out tax avoidance by EU countries!! Hypocrite or not?

er arent we agreed that people should pay their taxes ?
whether or not there are convict in prison for tax evasion and others outside who have got away with it - er got good accountants I mean?

GAAP seems inevitable ( NZ paves the way)
general anti avoidance provisions - - - [not general accepted accounting principlies] - where the taxman can say retrospectively - - oo we dont like that !

FT this week - HMRC overturned the pay-loan back scheme ( got it recognised as pay and therefore taxable) - for those who used it for fifteen years, up to £150 000 in back taxes to pay - this year !

sorry this is a bit technical
but I have just done my tax form - yippee !
