And we got the year right!
I particularly liked Hong Kong's contribution.
I missed HK's by a day. The far east always does fireworks well.
They did have the 'emissions charges' to spend.
I wonder who pays for that display.....

I'm all for minimalism.
A rocket and a sparkler would have been sufficient.
Especially as that lot cost £3.25 million....
I posted this last night, but the cost was a bit over £3m, and ticket sales (10,000 @ £10) would have covered about £1m of that.
oops, 100,000. They reckon that people coming to London to see them pump about £6m into the city economy.
An amazing show. I was thinking to how many elderly Londoners this evoked memories of the entirely different pyrotechnics in the air and on the ground during the Blitz.
It never made my Mum think of that. An amazing display. The whole world can do a good fireworks show but they don't have Big Ben..
What makes it even more amazing, and makes you think how do they do it is the fact that it's a one time thing: You can't "rehearse" these occasions.
