This is not an example of Transgender people being treated 'fairly' its an example of how Transgender people want to be given preferential treatment. Convictions as a man should stay on Records regardless of what sex the perpetrator decides they are in future. Rape is as much an act of violence and control as a sexual act, and this violence may not disappear just because a man no longer has (or wants) their penis.
The whole point of Equality is a level playing field and sometimes life just isn't 'fair'.

This all sounds mad. Can you get a record wipe if pre-op ? If so there may be a lot of criminal gender swapping back and forth. And I see those living as the opposite gender to what they really are, are allowed to keep it secret. I see some argument for that, but it could result in removing basic human right to not be fooled into a intimate relationship with the wrong gender, so clearly shouldn't be allowed. There should be a legal requirement to disclose what you're doing to anyone you're getting that close to. If there's a clash of interest, the rights of the individual not trying to fool others should take priority over the individual hoping to pull the wool over the eyes of others.
