nope, very warm here
We put our heating on twice last week but not tonight. It's quite mild here in Bedfordshire.
Certainly not!

It's 72 degrees (22.2 in that new fangled stuff) in NJ's chambers at the moment.
NJ....new-fangled? Anders Celcius proposed the sensible centigrade scale in 1742.
Yesterday early evening was a tad cool and so "management" gave a firm hint to put the heating on. I concurred with the proviso that it would be a good idea , if only to fire the boiler up and check that all was functioning o.k. This morning, the edict issued was that it was not so cold and the heating could be turned off again. I proffered the suggestion that there might be an "indian summer" and we could review the position the night the "clocks go back." "Dream on!!" was the retort. Time will tell - methinks?
Weather changing - and when someone said to the lady, 'Winter draws on' she replied, 'Yes I already have'.
Ours has been on briefly (no pun intended)
....and spelt his name with an "s" in the middle....sorry Mr. C.
Not at all, sitting here in pj's, only closed the window when the light went on otherwise we gets loads of daddy long legs and moths. That's in West Norfolk, can't imagine it going on before mid-October.
Definitely not. It's a bit nippy in the morning, so just put a warm dressing gown on. Otherwise no problem.
The weather has been glorious this weekend here in Norfolk, 23 degrees during the daytime an due to be min 13 degrees tonight.

I did put socks on for the first time earlier in the week, but not today, and hopefully it'll be a while before the heating is needed.
Whaaaat! I am sitting here feeling rather warm. And Windows still open.
Not yet. I put more clothes on and bring the fleece blankets out. I'm not a fan of central heating, I find it stuffy.
(22.2 in that new fangled stuff)

Was this Celsius carp another scam when we went to decimal currency ?.
Even though the weather has dropped dramatically it seems, I haven't felt the need to put on the central heating here just yet, I agree with Ummm it does tend to be a bit stuffy.
Nope not down here in deepest Cornwall, not been bad today actually......
Heck no! It never comes on until late October, early November. Layers...leccy blanket, do the trick.
Quite possibly Tony.

I believe the conversion formula is quite complex:-
(F-32) / 9 = C/5.

However, my nan had it sussed and would say - in real money . . . F x 2 +30 is near enough!
Tempted but resisting. Got a blanket out instead.
Thanks flonska.
My formula is to double the Celsius temp and add 30 to convert to Fahrenheit.
