with the additional treat of cake/ teacakes and coffee.

Even though we are retired, Sunday is stll a special day with no commitments, appointments or jobs to be done.

I know that not all of you can get out and about but how did you spend this lovely Sunday? Not many of them left this year, I fear.

Lovely, wasn't it, Tony?
A walk round the fields this morning with Zac. Tidied out various cupboards and partly tidied the garage. All high octane stuff ;-)

I rounded off the afternoon sunshine with a couple of beers in the garden in company of a good friend.
As we gazed at the sky, the troubles of the world seemed to vanish like the dispersing clouds.
I've hurt my back so not much movement from me. The newphew popped round earlier and I made a few phone calls. That's it.

We had an hours walk down to the Pub in the Park, Mrs B. got a Taxi down to join us once we got there and one home when we were ready to leave, it was nice and sunny on the terrace, really good.
We too took our pup for a lovely two hour stroll in the sun, through the countryside and along the river. Met many dog walkers and their furry friends. Unfortunately neither of us thought to take any money so couldn’t buy cake and tea at the lock cafe :(

I took my walk this morning. Nice and quiet. I walk to and around my local park.
Sitting in the park with my kindle. There was an end-of-summer festival in the park, but my favourite quiet corner was unaffected.
strolling round the West End, half of which seemed to be in lockdown for the Round Britain cycle race. It took all the contestants about 20 seconds to whiz past me, but the barriers seemed to be there for hours.

we spent the day at the Bristol Thai festival, watching dancing, singing and various acts including the lady boys, load of food and things to try, ...caught a nice bit of sun as well.
Had a lovely extended weekend enjoying the company of my granddaughters. Downside was having to drive back on the M25 and M1.
It's amazing that the oldest (2 1/2) has loads of toys and we end up playing with a large cardboard box, for two hours this morning :-)
