Remember when President Obama talked of Britain possibly being put to the back of the queue of we left the EU?

Middle England collectively lost their minds.

Now, Trump has similarly stuck his oar into our business, and the same folk are twisting themselves up into an orgy of delight.

Are they giant gammon-centric hypocrites?

I can't make my mind up if calling people gammon is just stupid or racist.
'Middle England collectively lost their minds.'

I don't recall that specific reaction. Could you provide evidence so we can debate on a meaningful basis?
well Bazzs was being Dave's puppet and the Trumpster is merely supporting the correct choice on brexit. The two things are entirely different.
That headline is highly misleading - and so is your comparison, Trump hasn't said anything yet but his representatives have said nothing like what Obama said. What they're saying is that if our future terms of trade with the US are governed by EU regulations, then that could present difficulties - not that we'll be at the back of the queue.

If I knew was gammon-centric meant, I'd answer that bit too. Is that some new, right-on expression?

Same newspaper...wholly different reaction.

-Talbot- don’t worry according to AB, we’re now living in an age where everyone shouts ‘racism’ simply to shut other people down, so it’s probably not racist. But just in case it is - I withdraw it. Replace it with ‘muppets’.

That could only be racist if you’re a resident of Sesame Street.
Methinks maybe Boris has had a word in his ear.
Oh, come on. You'll have to do better than the DM and it's hype.

Surely the right and wrong side is just an opinion based on where you stand on Brexit?

The point is - if you complain about Obama’s interjections, surely you would complain about Trump’s?
Talking of hypocrites, using a DM link so as to get over one's point.

You know you can't believe all that the DM says, well at least that's what you generally say.
I don't think so, danny. I was listening to a discussion a few days ago on the negative effect being tied to EU rules could have on our trade agreements with the 'free' world.

I see what you mean.

Have a look at the reactions in the comments section. That’s what I am referring to, rather than the report itself.

It’s hypocrisy.
The gammon insult is based on the colour of a persons skin, Naomi.

Again - read my question. My point is about the reaction to the story, rather than the quality of the story.

Leaving that aside, what’s your opinion?

Would be great to hear in the minutes before you get into an a massive argument with someone else on this thread.

Trump’s? ///

No, the difference being is the fact that President trump is speaking on behalf of the majority of the British public, I only wish our leader was.
sp, if I'm not mistaken Obama's interjections came before the referendum and were designed to influence the outcome. And you accuse others of hypocrisy .....

-Talbot-

Nonsense.

The insult is based on the colour of someone’s skin in certain circumstances.

And it’s not based on race, before any of the snowflakes start wetting themselves, as you don’t have to be a specific race to go red with rage.

And Trump’s interjections came before we have decided on a hard or soft Brexit.

SAME THING
Talbot, //The gammon insult is based on the colour of a persons skin, Naomi//

Oh is it? Thanks.

Oh dear, sp.
it's alright ( for now ) - mamy is having her siesta :-)
