Unfortunately it wont.

Some do-gooder will try to him out after 5 years or so no doubt. Lets hope that the 30 years min stands good.
With a 30 year tariff it is very possible that this man will never get out. Remember that he has to serve the 30 years before he can even begin the process of applying for parole. That will take at least another 3 years with a very small chance of success.
But then he may not want to get out, a homeless drug using tramp , now has a warm room of his own ( all 'lifers' are automatically entitled to single cell accommodation) 3 fresh cooked meals a day plus free clothing ,laundry and TV for at least the next 30 years.
''the judge warned he may never be released''

Hope that's true.

Any chance of an accidental slip in the showers?
Probably the sort of man who would have killed dozens if he could lay his hands on firearms. This country gets it right sometimes.
Except we will undoubtedly get a few rounds od appeals - all on the tax payer of course.
This is an evil man - "... he may never be released..." - I hope he isn't, but that he at least serves the 30 years.
A short rope and a long drop is best for this sort.
^ It IS 30 years minimum , that is the tariff .
YMB...The Judge awarded this 'horrible man a minimum of 30 years.....how will anybody be able to get him released in 5 years ?
30 years minimum is quite good, much better than say 15 which murderers often get ! Vile piece of human filth ...
^ Murder is ALWAYS life, there is no other possible sentence.
It is the tariff that says if and when a lifer might be released.
Even then it is only on licence. One breach of the licence can see a person out on license returned to jail without even a court hearing.
YMB - you do talk utter nonsense at times. What part of a MINIMUM of 30 years do you not understand?

ummmm

Why are you always rude to some?

Read what YMB actually put:

/// Some do-gooder will try to him out after 5 years or so no doubt. Lets hope that the 30 years min stands good. ///

The poster has already put "Lets hope that the 30 years min stands good".

But that doesn't stop some do gooder, trying for an appeal, it is not unknown.
Fingers crossed he loses his footing on a high, steep metal staircase.
My husband's aunt and uncle live in the same street as this poor family.

I hope the husband and daughter get some comfort from the sentence.
He doesn't deserve to ever get out.
A depraved individual, dead behind those eyes - he should never feel the sun on his face again.

Poor family.
AOG You can ONLY appeal the verdict on a murder charge NOT the sentence , as I said there is only ONE possible sentence 'Life'.
To appeal the verdict you must get proof that there is substantial new evidence that was not available to the original trial then ask for permission to appeal. It is a rare , though not unknown event.
He doesn't deserve to live. Lethal injection as soon as possible.
