Good. One gone down ......
Far too harsh - 18 months! - needed something but 3 months out in 45 days would have sufficed in my opinion.
But not in my opinion.
Nor mine.

20 years would be more like it.
Not harsh enough for what he did.....x
What about life with no parole imagine if this happened in the USA.

For the offence maybe, but I suspect his attitude has done him no favors - https://www.judiciary.gov.uk/judgments/sentencing-remarks-r-v-charlie-alliston/
His attitude was appalling!
arrogant little SH1, should have got much longer, he'll be on the street again by next summer, his victim won't.
Not long enough imo, I used to cycle across London, not in lycra, and had front and rear brakes also a bell. This moron deserves to be locked up for longer.
I was about to post this myself. At least the arrogant little twit is now behind bars.
I bet the arrogant little s*** thought he'd avoid a prison sentence - wish it had been longer.
Didn't the husband of the lady he killed speak well?.....x
He's an arrogant, unrepentant, vile little git who deserves to be in prison - probably for rather longer than he actually was sentenced to - because it was his recklessness that was the primary cause of the incident.

I do wonder (as I've said before) about a system that punishes outcomes rather than actions though - if the woman had merely been hurt, he wouldn't have been in prison now - and that was just bad luck as much as anything.

Indeed if her (undisputed) inattention due to her phone use had caused him to fall and bang his head and die, would she be in prison now?
disgrace !!
45 days for killing someone due to his blatant disregard for others' safety ? And on top of that he blamed the victim ? Sounds extremely lenient.
