It's nearly midnight and the House of Commons is in full flow. Why? Don't they get too tired to have a proper debate?

Mind you, it's probably good for them to give their livers a rest. (They are surely all stone cold sober, aren't they?)
they don't usually start till the afternoon on Mondays, do they?

Well, first hurdle cleared.
The same could be said for some ABers. :0)
Often thought the same Hopkirk why so late and why have all night sittings. Perhaps it is to keep the MPs off the streets.
They can probably claim extra expenses for working late.
If they went home early they'd presumably be accused of being lazy

I wonder if the Commons bar closes at normal time on late nights.
