Talbot....but what possible difference does it make to you what age the baby is ?

mikey, if you ever manage to master the art of following a thread you will understand why I posted the age of the kid.
Mamy....I agree....cheers for Hunt.
TALBOT, I see she said she's been breastfeeding for 3.5 years but I can't see where it says the wee one is forty-one months old.
Corby....isn't 41months the same as 3.5 years or are you suggesting that she is describing breast feeding for anther child that she has in addition?
Yes I am, since she has two wee ones (she has an older daughter from looking at her Facebook page)
He's going to try that route Sqad ... although when I looked at the pic my original guess was that the kid was about 3 years old.
Just heard on the news that the V&A have apologised as their policy is that breastfeeding is allowed on their premises.
maggiebee....yes, you are right, so obfuscations like the age of the child has no bearing on this case whatsoever.
case?

What 'case'?

Corby asked how old the kid was.

case?
It's a nothing story but yet once again it attracts many posts ... odd that isn't it?
“exactly ummm. Keep them all locked up until they come off the breast.”

A very good idea.In fact, I’d make it a little longer than that. Say, until about eighteen or twenty.

“Oh hang on, that would mean the mother would have to be locked up too.”

Needs must.

“Chain them all to the kitchen and be damned.
(strewth!!)”

Now you’re just being silly.
I asked what age the wee one was because ANOTHEOLDGIT said "she" was too old to be needing breastfeeding still, in spite of the fact he hadn't a clue what age "she" was.
This 'story' is nothing to do with breast feeding really. Looking t the pictures of that rather large boned child I doubt very much it has got like that on breast milk alone. This woman is clearly an attention seeker. No one in their right mind would go off the the Daily Mail of all papers whinning on. A simple letter or call to the director of the museum would have sorted it out I am sure.

I feel sorry for her kids having their pictures splatted all over the Sunday paper for all to see and then to latch on to in future years.
Breastfed babies are MUCH less likely to be overweight, so it's just as well she didn't have the nerve to bottle-feed in public- think what an uproar that would have caused!
You don't actually need to 'go' to a particular paper, stick your astounding experience on Twitter and you'll be approached - that's the sad truth.
Is that for the benefit of mikey ... because I'm aware of that TCL.

But if I am being honest my opinion is the child is too old for breast feeding.
If you scroll down to comments the person in question has responded.

Hi, this story is about me. I'm a real person (as is my child), some of these comments are quite upsetting. I contacted the museum after being asked to cover up during a feed (discretely, under a cardigan as it happens) because it's against the law. I tried to see the funny side and use humour to make light of the issue in my twitter post. The museum apologised, I accepted, end of story I thought. Then the Mail contacted me for an interview. I declined as didn't want any more attention. 10 minutes later a DM reporter is on my front doorstep having found out where I live - scary. I repeat that I don't want to talk to her. She then used content and images from my private FB to construct this story, including putting details about my child in the public domain against my wishes. I didn't speak to the Mail or give my consent. Be careful what you put on FB folks; the DM won't respect your privacy if there's any chance of getting people wound up about a non-existent issue.

It may not be her of course ?
On the other hand it may well be , I know two people who experienced similar though not to the point of being doorstepped.
You mean she wasn't "running to the press with the story along with photographs etc. " What a shocker! Does that mean she's not an attention-seeker either????
