Sad but cannot help blaming both the parents and GOSH.
I don't know why anyone would blame Great Ormond Street. I am sure they would have a child's best interests at heart.

There's two or three threads going as think we all saw news at same time. Ed feel free to delete my thread if need be
I don't think that any blame can be apportioned to anyone for his death. He was a very poorly little soul and his death was inevitable.

I think it's a shame GOSH is taking so much flack. They too had the baby's best interest behind all they advised, and I'm sure none of the medics involved wished to see the media circus this turned out to be.

No one has the right to abuse the Medical Team or the parents. Regardless of who was right and who was wrong, everyone wanted what was best for little Charlie.
Let's not make a circus of it on here.

Poor little chap was beyond the point of remedy. I don't believe any form of treatment would have given him a quality of life.
I just heard on the news that he couldn't see,swallow, move...brain damage was irreversible and had been for some time. Poor baby was just a shell.

I think the Medical Team knew that some time ago, Pasta, but the parents didn't want to hear it.

it is a pity that the parents and staff could never agree
I know I'd first read that about a month ago, so yes...the parents must have been well aware that things were so bad.
