That's all white.
Go girls! I wish them luck.
Wish them luck, but out their a risky thing to do.
The girls don't seem to be getting a lot of support here. I wonder why?
Not sure why, they should be.
Garaman, do you not think these ladies are right, and in that society, brave, to oppose a rule that compels women to cover up?
Yes, of course, Naomi, and I apologise as I must have worded my post poorly. I was meaning to say that I don't understand why they aren't getting support on here, as indeed they should be.
Good luck to them.

The rehabilitation (and re-modernisation) of Iran should be a priority for the west and the middle east.

As an aside, I really enjoyed this Iranian horror film "Under The Shadow" which touches on some of the same feelings:

Garaman, ah, thanks. I misunderstood your post. My mistake. Sorry.
what amazing courage!
Iran is increasingly fidgeting towards modernisation thank goodness and I applaud these ladies completely. We must cheer Iran on in it's people fight for modern living. What we do have to watch out for though is a 'crossing story arc' as a lady dressed quite normally in a pair of shorts and a T shirt was recently chucked out of a shopping mall in the States for being 'inappropriately dressed'. We need to stamp on morality nonsense as and wherever it turns up.
slight problem....I searched for the hashtag wearwhitewednesday and its seems its already at least two other “things” one is an american nurses’ movement and the other is in support of people having chemo.
These women are to be applauded for their courage & I wish them all the best with the campaign.
Hmmm... Maybe it's a translation of an Arabic hashtag woof, so might not appear as an English one very apparently?
woofgang - I don't use (or really understand) Twitter, but is this what you were looking for? -

I wish them strength in their quest and most importantly success.
I was going to say more power to their elbow, but Mamya put it so much better.
The AB Editor mentions the re-modernisation of Iran, which has, in recent history, gone backwards in time. Hopefully, this will be one step towards reintroducing it to the modern world.
Nobody should tell anyone what they can and cannot wear!
// Maybe it's a translation of an Arabic hashtag woof, //

well the arabic is abyad ( irreg f. bayda)
but they spik Farsi in Iran

white appears to be the colour of protest

well done the girls

[ remember the gurlz voted to disenfranchise themselves in the early eighties - "every good woman should vote as her husband tells her to" - and boop! down the tube went their votes !)
