Just when he had things going his way, it seems Jezza can't resist proposing some fantasy based ideas of toppling the Gov't:

Lost the plot?

Hang on, how much influence has 'Just Jude' had on Jeremy?

The vagabond! ;-)
Think about it TWR, 18/59 it was the Cons on here that were joining the Labour Party to get MR Corbyn elected as leader of the Labour Party because the Cons thought that with him as leader it would be the end of the Labour Party, what an own goal that turned out to be.
It is a bit embarrassing to see people accuse Corbyn of losing the plot, when it is quite evident that they themselves are clueless about what is occurring.

Corbyn knows that his alternate Queens Speech will not result in him taking power. What he is doing is opposing the Conservatives, which is his job as leader of the opposition. He is trying to make things as difficult as possible for May, and test the commitment of the DUP to save May. Once the Conservatives are bethrothed to the DUP, the political ammunition he will be able to deploy will be immense.
The alternate Queens Speech is inviting the DUP to save May, and that association will be pousonous to the Tories, and a great advantage to Labour.
He's never had the plot!
Corbyn is doing his job as the Leader of the Opposition.

If May is chaos at the moment, it isn't his fault is it ?
Is it really the job of JC to oppose all proposals put forward because he is Leader of the main opposition party.

Incidentally, how can he prepare an opposition speech if he hasn't heard a word that Theresa is going to say. ?

Hans
Hans...its his job to oppose things that the Labour Party doesn't approve of. Making OAPs poorer is high on that list.
// Is it really the job of JC to oppose all proposals put forward because he is Leader of the main opposition party.//

the duty of her majesty's loyal opposition is to oppose
(Lord Palmerston I think)

Alan Clark as a minister for whatsit said at one point to his shadow thingey _ "oh why do you have to always say what I am saying is wrong ? "
//Incidentally, how can he prepare an opposition speech if he hasn't heard a word that Theresa is going to say. ?
//

in Phineas Finn ( Anthony Trollope) - P passes up the offer from the oppositiion chief ( Bontine ) to make an extempore speech on what he has just heard. Madame Max says he is correct....

yup they just get up and make a speech on what they have just heard. Part of being an MP.

In 1968 I hard michael foot speak off the cuff for 90 minutes.
( school visit to Parliament). Very fluent but jesus he did go on

macmillan gave the advice - a back bencher should make one point and no more. A minister can make two points.....
Astonishing how the two parties have swapped places in just a few weeks!
8 weeks ago the Conservatives were 'strong and united' while Labour was in total chaos! Now it's the exact opposite!
Eddie...not really that sure that the Tories were ever
'strong and united'

They were like ducks...all calm on the surface but thrashing about underneath.
OK. For the purpose of intelligent discussion I am accepting that JC will go ahead with his stupid plan to vote down the Queens Speech. However , from where is he going to get sufficient votes. ? The Speaker of the House and his two Assistants do Not take part in the voting. Furthermore, the seven Sinn Fein members will Not be present in the Commons and I can't visualise the ten DUP parliamentarians giving support to JC.

Perhaps Diane Abbott has helped with the maths.!!

Hans.
It was rude of me of failing to mention that the facts I have given above were first recorded in this thread, yesterday afternoon, by jackdaw33.

Hans.
Mikey, //Making OAPs poorer is high on that list. //

I'm still not sure where you get that from. Relieving the wealthy of a couple of hundred pounds in winter fuel payments doesn't make OAPs poorer, and the reformed plan for elderly care doesn't leave OAPs poorer either. It actually leaves more for their descendants to inherit. Can you explain why you think OAPs wold be poorer?
well even the teleg doesnt think OAPs are gonna be better off

but Hey this is AB so why not say they will be !

Astonishing that you think the Labour party are 'strong and united'
Peter Pedant, It says middle class pensioners. Up to £300 in winter fuel payments is not the end of the world to middle class pensioners. Still, why bother to attempt to get it right? As you would say 'Another normal day on AB'.
so losing £300 on winter fuel payment
is not ending up £300 poorer ?

normal day on AB as you say

hey why dont you say -" we agree by losing £300, they will be £300 richer " - I mean anything goes on AB !
Peter, not all pensioners would lose the Winter Fuel Payment, only the ones that could afford to.Is it right that the very rich are entitled to it?
If May were to go ahead and ditch the Triple Lock on Old Age Pensions ( which was her Parties idea in the first place ! ) then all OAPs will be worse off, give time. It was brought in to make sure that OAPs incomes don't fall behind again.

And May has yet to explain who will lose the WFP, and how. But its academic now, as the DUP won't let her do it

Hans....I am still a tad puzzled why you think Labour's plan to vote the Queens Speech down is "stupid"....its going to be difficult, I will agree, but why stupid ?

Labour are the opposition....as has been explained on here by others, its their job to oppose.
