agchristie....not at all ! I thought it summed up exactly what I feel bout hunting wild animals with dogs. Oscar Wild had a way with words as well !

"the unspeakable in full pursuit of the uneatable."

Fox hunting will be a matter for individual MPs and will not be whipped. They will decide and that's what they are supposed to do.
Why is he scraping the barrel ??
Jugged Greyhound doesn't sound so nice though.
My point to Mikey was that fox hunting is not a salient issue to the public at large.

There are many reasons not to vote Tory but 1 absolutely HUMONGOUS reason to vote Tory.
If the Waterloo Cup came back that will be a sorry day indeed. Poor hares trapped in a field with no escape so the dogs can catch them. Seen horrific photos of a hare being torn in half as two dogs pull on it - how can that be SPORT ????
agchristie...can't agree on that ! I remember the Bill going through the process years ago....it was a very important issue at the time.

But I will concede that compared to international terrorism, its perhaps not so important now, but I still don't want to see it back.

Yes, they are trapped in a field.
I'm late on this thread, hence I'll answer the OP only.

To quote my favourite (fictional) politician it would be like watching a clown running through a minefield.
agchristie - it's one of the main reasons I won't vote for this woman.

///Hare coursing is the pursuit of hares with greyhounds and other sighthounds, which chase the hare by sight and not by scent. In some countries, it is a legal, competitive activity, in which dogs are tested on their ability to run, overtake and turn a hare, rather than a form of hunting aiming at the capture of game///

And I notice DB you pick up on trapped in a field and NOT the horror of being torn limb from limb !!
I don't usually dismiss others' points of view but in this case I'll make an exception. Anybody who makes their decision on which way to vote based upon the fact that one party has offered a free vote on hunting with dogs needs their bumps felt!

OMG same old tired argument db - how typical!! Stand by what I said 100%.
