If that statement does not fill you with dread that I would very much like to hear why.

You'd have been better adding to your first thread.

Yeah, I know. Hey-ho. There's no going back with AB – press the button and it's gone and uneditable.

It might though. That's the terrifying thing. The Tories have really screwed up their campaign in my opinion.

Murdo - “Almost certain to lose her seat next month...”

Really? I do hope so.
I agree. To launch an attack on pensioners was the height of political folly. Does she not have any spin doctors to tell her what does and doesn't go down well? Still, I'd rather lose my winter fuel allowance than see that Abbott ogress in government.

She has as much chance of losing her seat as I have of being elected Pope.

Boo. You raised my hopes and then dashed them ;-)

I know.

Amazing how a black racist (demonstrated by her own racist twitter comments) can be voted in year after year in the same borough. It's enough to make a rational person think that her world view reflects that of her constituents...
Sorry Birdie but I still can't see what you are referring to !

But this is what fills me with dread....yesterdays interview between Amber Rudd and Andrew Marr. She was asked why the authorities failed to act on Abedi, despite many warning about his behavior. many from his own family and friends.

We have been asking why Muslims don't do more to help expose members of their community. In the case of Abedi, that is exactly what they did, and yet this evil bomber was still allowed to travel to Libya and return to kill all the people at the Manchester pop concert.

Rudd just ploughed on regardless :::

home secretary? at least she isn't being considered for chancellor of the exchequer
I am no great fan of Abbot, but Rudd just doesn't have what it takes to be Home Secretary. She is looking increasingly like a rabbit caught in the headlights, and IMHO, has been promoted several levels above her pay grade.

After the Election, I can't see her keeping her job....another U-Turn in store from Mrs May.
The only way Abbott would lose her seat would be if she was playing 'musical chairs'.
Abbott has a huge majority in her constituency....even an earthquake won't shift her !
Abbott seems to be one of those 'make it up as I go along' politicians, she may well be very well educated but comes across as being as thick as two short planks! I'm at a dead-end of who to vote for, where I live is Labour by a very small majority but I cannot vote for Corbyn and Abbott and I do not like the way the Tories are conducting themselves so it looks like a wasted vote from me!
I had a different hair style then and I also had different views....

God help us all if she does ( become home secretary ad decid to change her coiffure )
