Reports suggest that Downing Street will not reveal the subject of the speech: "You will hear it from her first".

What do you think it could be?

Snap general election june 8th. Why ?

When Theresa May spoke ... what were the words or sentences you didn't you understand?

I guess Timothy will be constantly on our TV now ...
''We can now stop this stitch up, vote for me''
Why is who I vote for such a surprise YMD?
crikey, Islay votes Tory! Talk about upstage the PM. Cover me in eggs and flour and bake me for 40 minutes!
Glad to see TTT's political acumen as sharp as ever, at 10.31...
Well for Labour, there is the bad news and there is the good news.
The bad news is that they will probably not win the election.
The good news is that they will have a good reason to get rid of J.Corbyn.
So......it may well be that T.May has played into the hands of the Labour Party.
Why is that such a surprise TTT?
fair enough jim, I did not think the PM would attempt an election because she would need Labour to back it and they'd be stark raving bonkers to go along with it as they'd get slaughtered. It seems they are in fact SRB and it they will support it so there must be a lot of nervous Labour MPs about.

Good idea TTT ... you will then be fully baked.
"Why is that such a surprise TTT? " - because you normally demonstrate the traits of anything but a conservative.
Islay, it's just some of the comments you post on here are, well, not excactly centre let alone be right of centre.

All quite on the JC front. Perhaps he and his MP's are to busy on jobserve?

Faron is looking to crush the democratic will of the people (no surprise there!)
// because you normally demonstrate the traits of anything but a conservative. //
What you mean I am not a racist git like other conservative voters?
so voting conservative makes you a racist git, that takes the biscuit.
I think TM has played a blinder. What a cow though. Corbyn has to vote for this. And when he does, he's almost sealed his own fate since Labour are more likely than not to lose.
my mater has just cracked a pearler of a slip, Farron being interviewed in Truro, the question/comment being "Most people in Cornwall voted for Brexit."

To which, she queried, "Most people voted for what, Breakfast?"
Sheer hypocrisy! Scotland can't have a referendum because of Brexit but the Tories can have a General Election?
I can just hear her ..TM... "Sick and tired of all their squabbling, had their say and still not happy...I'll show 'em once and for all that what I say goes " Good on you TM !! ..go get 'em girl !!!
Maggie it's not a referendum ! it's an election for the nation and not for the Tories ....
Sorry Emmie I should have put the words 'some' and 'as some are on here' in that last response.
A Tory with sensible views, well done Islay.

All Tories have sensible views, it's just that some ABers are not sensible enough to realise the fact.
