And I forgot to add that the BBC report is over a month old. Mr & Mrs Blair have probably been busy acquiring another property or two in that time. Mrs Blair was recently "gazumped" when trying to buy a desirable £3m town house in Central London which she "had planned to give to her daughter" (as you do). Apparently she was outbid by somebody called Talulah Riley, whom I am led to believe is "famous".

And of course he’s absolutely correct. They were not asked about the terms; they were simply asked whether they’d like to leave or remain. Those who voted to leave must have considered that there would be a wide range of options on which we would negotiate. Personally I’d like a complete break, with no association with the EU whatsoever, so “special arrangements” (which would almost certainly see us beholden to that wretched organisation in some way). In short I’d like us to revert to being a “normal” country. Countless other countries trade with the EU (which seems to be all anybody is interested in) without any special trade deals and without having to comply with any of the EU’s rules which are not related to the trade they are doing. Most importantly they are not subject to any EU legislation over which they have virtually no control and which is adjudicated upon by a foreign court. They seem to manage quite well, some of them very well. I realise I might not get that but I’ll be extremely disappointed (and I won’t be alone) if our leaving is “fudged” so as to leave us under any sort of EU control or subject to any EU legislation.
