Disasters Emergency Committee:

DEC only appeal when we know we can help. We bring together 13 leading UK aid charities in times of crisis. Since our launch in 1963, we have run 69 appeals and raised more than £1.4 billion - saving millions of lives and rebuilding communities devastated by disasters.
I have given a small amount to Save the Children by DD for years now, but I have to admit, I'd rather donate further money to animal charities.
HereIam, I sent to Japan / Thailand when they had disasters & will do if the people can help themselves, one thing that would help this county is two bricks or the snip, for someone to Sh-- knowing they can not feed their children it need doing, another 5>>10 years from now it will be the same as Biafra years ago, where are they now? no need to answer that have we.
No I'm sorry I won't. It's been over 30 years since Band/live aid - that not including the years before that we knew Africa had drought and problems with corruption. We live in 21 century and have the ability to feed them many times over
It's a political answer that is needed - so you're wasting your money and time
Btw - how much is United Arab Emirates donating?

NO, I donate to a charity which does not waste money and gets stuck in with help when and where needed , The Salvation Army.
There are very few animal charities to which I will donate..... but there are ways of explaining why one doesn't donate to a certain cause or charity....

When you read some of the answers on here it says so much about the person posting and nothing about the genuine reason/s they are not donating.......
A considered and interesting post would make good reading on this thread and give the opportunity to debate...debate, not name call..........how can you debate with crude and ignorant answers?....x
Hi emmie, yes I gave to Comic Relief by text x
