the old buffers will let it through this time.
Apparently not ?
MP's have just overwhelmingly overturned Lords Brexit bill changes...
Thank God (who I don't believe exists). Now just blooming we'll get on with it.

I'll believe it when I see it
I’ve just read that the Commons have overwhelmingly rejected the Lords’ proposed amendments. On top of that the Labour members of the Lords have declared that they will not seek to reimpose their amendments (making the Bill’s passage through the Lords a virtual given) and that Royal Assent may be achieved tomorrow.

BUT, I've gone on to read that Mrs May plans not to trigger A50 until the end of the month. Er….why? The electorate had reasonable expectations that A50 would be triggered shortly after June 24th. I understand the reasons for the delay but, assuming the above is true, A50 can be triggered well before the end of this week. Why the further delay? Hasn’t the letter been drafted yet? By the end of the month another odious, interfering creep will have crawled from the woodwork with yet another spurious excuse to thwart the will of the electorate. Their opening statement will go something like this:

"I've no intention whatsoever of trying to derail Brexit, but....."
if the brexiters dont have any idea what is going on
who am I to contribute ?

not sure why the PM would delay judge, let's see eh?
Why the delay ?
I think we know what's going on, Peter. It's what's not going on that concerns us.
Well, avoiding the ides of March seems a good idea to me, so trigger it tomorrow! I believe it is the kerfuffle with little Nicola which is now slowing things, can't see why.
NJ //A50 can be triggered well before the end of this week. Why the further delay? //
I believe it is out of deference to the European neighbours; the Netherlands election, and the EU celebrations, - good British show of manners, and anyway, she has always said 'the end of march'.
Let us all remain friends and be polite.
The Ides of March is on Wednesday so any other day would be ideal.
Yup JD - but I take Khandro's point. Not sure if the other countries appreciate decent British diffidence and consideration though.....

Deference to our EU neighbours? Like the deference they have showed us for 45 years? Don't make me laugh!
