“NJ - I bet you didnt read the Bill before you tap tap tapped away ......” Yes I did, Peter. I usually comment on things from a position of knowledge rather than ignorance. And my point still stands. It’s not kinda sensible at all. In fact it’s not even remotely sensible unless the EU guarantees reciprocal rights for UK citizens currently living...

cassa ^^ Indeed, and this amendment would be a gift to Brussels, who would be negotiating safe in the knowledge that all EU citizens in the UK were protected and then it would be the UK citizens (such as my wife and me) in the EU who become a bargaining chip.
Aye, lets have a referendom to see if we should have a referendom

"Not until there is a similar one to protect U.K. Citizens living in other EU countries. But that would do no good because the UK government has no control over other EU countries"

So you won't sign this petition until there's another petition which is pointless.

God, the stuff people write on this site sometimes...
We shouldn't be making these people's lives a bargaining chip, end of story. We really are sinking as a nation - possibly without realising it

Yes I did, Peter. I usually comment on things from a position of knowledge rather than ignorance. And my point still stands. It’s not kinda sensible at all. In fact it’s not even remotely sensible unless the EU guarantees reciprocal rights for UK citizens currently living elsewhere in the EU. That can only come about when the Brexit negotiations begin and they cannot begin until A50 is triggered. As I said, Mrs May tried to get a pre-A50 agreement on this very topic agreed but Frau Merkel vetoed it.
