These are the issues I would like to see him debate, not Brexit and immigration. Nuttall seems on the face of it to be a nice guy, especially when compared to other UKIP people.
But lift a stone and all sorts of nasty things crawl out. Why doesn't he ask the electorate of Stoke about the issues I have listed above, rather than keep blowing that Brexit dog-whistle ?

I passed the temporary HQ of UKIP on the way back from lunch - I am intrigued to note that a vote for Mr Nuttall will 'ensure a speedy Brexit'.
I rather think that Brexit will proceed at whatever speed is determined by those who actually have a say in what goes on - and that is not going to be UKIP with it's tally of MP's doubled to two is it.

He like any sensible person is playing his trump cards (pardon the pun), and since it was those two matters, Brexit and immigration, which were popular enough to gain us a referendum which the majority won, I therefore think it is wise for him to stick to those two subjects, especially when in that particular area they are also very popular subjects.

AOG....its obvious why Nuttall would prefer to bleat on about those old UKIP favourites, BREXIT and immigration. For a start, BREXIT is nearly here. its last years news. As someone has already said on here today, if Nuttall thinks that by doubling the UKIP representation at Westminster, he will be able to influence the speed of BREXIT one iota, he has an opinion of his meagre abilities that surpasses reality.
But first of all, he is the UKIP contender....what other policies do UKIP have other than Jonny foreigner and the EU ?
Secondly, he wouldn't stand a chance in Stoke if he opened his mouth on abortion, capital punishment, climate change, and gay rights. I would like to see him face any member of the public on any of those issues.
Yesterdays man, with yesterdays policies.

Nuttall must be the only Liverpudlian on Planet Earth, who was the Leppings Lane entrance, but has not admitted so in the last 20 odd years, despite all the By-Elections that has stood in.
His friend of many years has said that Nuttall has never mentioned the fact that he was there.
Nuttall has never mentioned in any of his campaign literature, for the last years, that he was at Hillsborough in 1989.
So, Paul Nuttall, a high-profile UKIP Member and now its Leader, and a Liverpool resident, has never seen fit to mention that he was present during the disaster.
The only Liverpudlian that hasn't brought up the subject of Hillsborough ever before.
I call that remarkable, in the extreme.
