Okay - this is news (yes, I know there's a thread in Chatterbank, but the best people are in the News thread).

I personally think the AnswerBank redesign is a huge success and well overdue.

The choice of font is perhaps the only element I'd question, but other than that - bravo to the site admins.

Your thoughts?

The font is apparently for the oldies whose sight is failing. I SAID THE OLDIES, DEAR! THE OLDIES! NOT BALDIES! Well, maybe them as well ...
I think the site is now fresh, modern and fit for all devices. I also find it to be fast and responsive. I love it
It is going to take some getting used to.

But it is infinately better on my phone and my tablet. I am out today, so I haven't used it yet on my desktop.

Everything seems to be working on my devices. Well done ed, you got there.

Sp, a bit more about the font.

We voted on the font on AB, I think more people chose it because it is clearer.
My thoughts?.....I think that anyone who thinks the best people are in the News thread should be banned!....Gx
I don't think that the new layout should be accepted before the AB parliament casts it's vote .
I personally don't like it There may be something wrong with my screen as the I can only see 1.5 answer boxes at any one time - it is huge. The comments in the boxes continue outside the frame and I cant see all categories despite clicking on the view all categories box.

Oh dear...there's a major browser issues. AB Editor - it looks great on Safari on Apple iPhones - it's looks hideous on Macs. I've just opened this page on my iMac, and all the text is messed up.

It might not be a problem with your HTML. It might be an issue with my browser settings.
Hello Granny Grump! You need to clear your cache.

If you're on a desktop/laptop, pres CTRL + F5

If that doesn't work, and you use chrome, try clearing browsing data under "more tools"

If you're using an ipad, go to you settings, safari, and then clear history.

If you're using something else, let us know and we'll work it out with you!
(thanks for the kinds thread btw SP)
Granny take down your zoom settings. Then press ctrl and f5 together. If you are still having text overlapping the boxes problem clear your cache. Failing that log out, and in a new tab, log on and sign in using you original AB log in details.
To reduce zoom to 100%, press CTRL + 0
Ahh crossed posts with Ed. Being mindful not to cross swords.
cannot agree, the screen is 99% full of irrelevant 5h1t3 and I cannot see much of it. Yes I have played about with CTRL-wheel but It's just annoying me so you may have the added benefit of me going.
I notice that you now have an avatar in latest posts, 3T, but it doesn't appear in the actual threads.
Nah don't like it ,print is out of the box ,can't navigate but apart from that not keen at all,
I must be very lucky. I have not had a single problem.
How do you get control on a iPad?
On an iPhone or iPad you can just tap "refresh" in Safari (the curvy arrow) - that worked for me anyway
