Okay - this is news (yes, I know there's a thread in Chatterbank, but the best people are in the News thread).

I personally think the AnswerBank redesign is a huge success and well overdue.

The choice of font is perhaps the only element I'd question, but other than that - bravo to the site admins.

Your thoughts?

It's awful! Can't navigate, refuses to accept Publication, Number or Date input, wholly misaligned - text doesn't fit into 'boxes'. I can only connect to specific questions by going via Google. Get it right please!
What a mess. I have to scroll down 10 times just to see the first question on any page. And the page seems to be about 70% white space (well light grey space).
Thank you - that is better - the font seems extremely large - did people have difficulty reading it before?
Granny, just zoom out until you are comfortable with the size.

Also, too many ads breaking up the replies. I'm scrolling up and down and getting mixed up with where the thread ends and the big ads start //
That's odd, because I see no big ads until past the answers and latest posts...makes it feel ad-free. Lovely!
Thank you
It has settled down now and at least the text is in the box at last.

For me this new site is worse than the old one.

The old one I could see at a glance all headings and most resent postings.

Why do people/sites think they have to change everything just because they can? It worked perfectly well before.
All categories are listed at the bottom of each page as well as from the drop-down menu.
On my iPad the answers don't fit in the box properly. How do I alter that. It's annoying as they 'bleed' into the outer space??
I think the update has happened because the old format struggles on smart phones. so perhaps Mr Ed is chasing the smartphone audience? I am not a fan of the new design myself, it feels very in your face and clumsy. I would have thought the majority of users used Laptop's, Desktops and Tablets
i've used my pc..laptop..tablet..samsung galaxy s5 once sorted out the zoom on all no problems 100% better all round
I think it's awful!!!! If it's not broke why fix it?
All the boxes are overlapping parts of the screen and letters are overlapping boxes.
Danny, are you on a laptop?
Initially I am finding the briteness of the background a bit too
Eye straining. I know you can reduce this overall in settingst, But would have to change it back when I visit another site.
morning Danny xx if on lappie or pc f5 or ctr f5 will resiaze the text box to fit
resize even !
Danny, if you are on a laptop or a PC then pressing Control and F5 should put that right.
Morning Danny. There are quite a few threads with ways to improve the layout. For now try pressing 'Ctrl' + 'F5' at the same time. That should get your cache cleared and letters back into boxes.

If the screen/font is too big for you then press 'Ctrl' and '-' (minus) at the same time and that will alter the screen size.

Have a go.
Tilly, yes I am on a laptop
