A test firing of the UKs defense missile system in June was a failure. Apparently due to a cock-up with Google Maps, instead of targetting Russia, it actually hit Rusholme. There were no reports of any damage.

Interestingly, the misfire was hushed up and was not known to the majority of MPs who voted to renew it in July.

The Prime Minister refuses to say whether she knew of the apparent malfunction, when she voted. Asked several times, Mrs May refused to answer.

Should this information have been made known to MPs before they voted?
Would the result have been different if the truth was known?

TTT...for a start, there is nothing whatsoever "pro-opposition" about Andrew Marr. He is a top-flight current affairs journalist, and his job to hold our politicians to account, and one very good to do that is to ask difficult questions. Perhaps Gove should have done the interviewing ?

It would have been easy for May to have answered the question, simply and honestly. Instead she chose to avoid the question and then look shifty into the bargain. She showed a complete lack of judgement and she appeared to be very unprepared for the rigour involved in the interview, showing us yet again, that she appears to have been promoted above her ability and pay grade. Its not the first time she has panicked in a live interview.

She will be asked this same question in Parliament soon so we will get answer one way or the other.
If an old Ford Focus goes wrong, is that a good reason for the owner to cancel plans to replace it with a newer version?
"It would have been easy for May to have answered the question, simply and honestly. Instead she chose to avoid the question and then look shifty into the bargain." - Think I agreed with that above, no reason why should couldn't answer the question. Marr is a well know pro Labour luvvie, he was previously in the "socialist campaign for a labour victory", He also described himself as a "Raving leftie" - Gawd have you seen him fawning over Saint Tony?
TTT....I don't accept what you say about Marr for one minute, but suppose, for the sake of argument, that I do !

If anybody else had asked the question, there is no indication that she would have reacted differently, and you have acknowledged that the question was quite correct, and that her reaction to the question was far from acceptable.

So why did you chose to cloud this issue with your remarks about Marr ?

Marr isn't the issue here, Mrs Maybe is. She has made herself look foolish, and I am sure she is far from that.
Mikey, still being insulting I see
why is it ok for you to repeatedly insult Mrs May, yet you went into an apoplectic meltdown when others dared to do the same to Nicola Sturgeon?
It's what is known as double standards Mushroom
If only Mrs Maybe would answer the question !

The sobriquet is sardonic and sarcastic I will openly admit, but its not rude in a personal manner. I have no issue with this women, just the way she is behaving as our PM.
Danny/Mush certain people on this site are more equal than others. Mikey, he was known as "Red Andy" at uni, F_FS!
That doesn't surprise me in the least.
TTT...."Mikey, he was known as "Red Andy" at uni, F_FS!"....explain this drivel please !
Andrew Marr was known as "Red Andy" at university. Anyway mikey, at least Mrs May had the balls to be interviewed about it unlike your hero here: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/11340728/Tony-Blair-bid-to-avoid-IRA-letters-questions-is-insult-to-victims.html

Talbot....you have hit the nait on the head !
it's just politicking from Marr, If she'd said no He'd have banged on about her not being uninformed, if she'd have said yes he'd have banged on about cancelling it. So take your pick the answer is irrelevant. There was an error in testing big deal, move on.
* not being informed
Just heard latest news, apparently Trident has been tested over a hundred times. I don't know why Corbyn is getting his knickers in a twist over this.
TTT....make your mind up !

When I said ""It would have been easy for May to have answered the question, simply and honestly. Instead she chose to avoid the question and then look shifty into the bargain." You agreed with me :::::

"Think I agreed with that above, no reason why should couldn't answer the question"

Now you are saying that Marr's question was just "politicking"

Its his job to ask awkward, probing questions.
Clutching at straws Danny. He sounded like he needed putting back on charge on the news clip I saw, like he couldn't quite be bothered to summon up the energy to mount a credible argument, like he knew he was talking bowlocks but had to go thru with it.
Putting wallpaper on upside down is a bad result, an error but a missile heading in the wrong direction is a wee bit more concerning.
