Jim, //As regards the Clinton "rape case", best I can do is refer you to a discussion of it. //

Where is it?
Listening to the news this morning it seems he is losing even more celebrity supporters !
But he still has his Stopid fans, the ones too Stopid to see Trump for what he really is.
I wish he'd stop putting his foot in it all the time, because I prefer him to Clinton. Does that make me 'stopid' mikey ??
Whilst I agree with the people who have said that both (some) men and women behave differently when not in the company of the opposite sex, and also agree that there are plenty of women who throw themselves at the rich and famous (I hate the word “celebrity”), There is a big difference between blokes who say things like “I’d give her one” “look at the t**** on that” and “she can (insert smutty comment here) any time” and Trump saying "I just start kissing them. It's like a magnet. Just kiss. I don't even wait. ... Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything." (C & P from Ellipsis’ post - hope that was OK). Surely that is sexual assault?

Had he have been a much younger man 11 years ago, then perhaps it could have been mitigated by claiming that he was just trying to impress his mates, but he was a middle aged man.

Could this now mean that there will be a succession of women coming forward to claim they were sexually harassed/assaulted?

What an uncomfortable decision the American people have to make between creepy Mr. Trump and deceitful Mrs. Clinton.
Your use of 'stopid' is making you look a bit 'stoopid', Mikey....

There will be those who vote for Trump because they like him and those who'll vote for him because they can't abide Clinton.

However it falls out next month the USA is going to have to ask itself some hard questions about its' electoral process.
It was in the follow-up post, Naomi. Apologies for not attaching it in the one you quote.
Bigbad, // What an uncomfortable decision the American people have to make between creepy Mr. Trump and deceitful Mrs. Clinton. //

I wonder how high the turnout will be?

Exactly jackthehat, for America to end up with these two as candidates for the most important position in the world is an affront to democracy.
I don’t think it matters, naomi. A president will be elected on votes cast, not abstentions/spoiled ballot papers.
Assuming, that is, that there is not a “none of the above” option.
hereIam....but preferring him to Hilary isn't a good enough reason to vote for him, is it ? Are you aware of all the awful things that he has said ? How can anybody who has said such things be ready for the White House ?

I have asked this question before, but....how awful does he have to be for the scales to fall from the eyes of someone like yourself ?

You may not like Hilary but do you really want Trump as President ?

If the answer is yes to that last question, why ?

( without mentioning Hilary, if you can....I am genuinely interested to know !
Jack...similar question to you. Given all the awful things that he has said over the last few months ( too many to list here ) why would anybody ignore those remarks and still vote for him ?
I've already answered that at 11.08....
Because he wants to protect his country from those that would harm it in any way whatsoever and isn't afraid to say so.
Simalar question to you, mikey

Given all the awful things that have been said over the last few months about Clinton ( too many to list here ) why would you ignore those things and still vote for her ?
hereiam...defence of the nation is only one aspect of being a President.

Going by what you say, then that rather proves what I have been saying for a long time now.....it doesn't matter what he says, and who he insults, as long as he promises to build that fictitious wall, and throw out all the Muslims in America. In other words, he can be as outrageous as he likes....it doesn't matter !
Talbot....if I thought that was a problem, then I wouldn't vote for Trump, I would abstain, or vote for one of the other, minor Parties.

Not liking Hilary can't be an excuse to vote for Trump.
I've answered your question mikey and I won't be drawn further.
mikey4444
Talbot....if I thought that was a problem,

You don't see all the negative press aimed at her as a problem then?
Jack....this is what you wrote at 11:08.....

"There will be those who vote for Trump because they like him and those who'll vote for him because they can't abide Clinton"

I accept that some people won't like Hilary, but what I am trying to understand is why would anybody like Trump, given all the gaffs that he made in the last few months.

In other words, what could he possibly say that would finally cause those scales to fall from peoples eyes ?
