Scotland are in the UK, and she leads the third biggest party in the UK parliament, so she is perfectly entitled to engage with it.

That was Cameron's big mistake (well there were many). He wanted to stay in The EU but would not engage with it. He moved the Tories from the powerful Conservative group who were the biggest group and had the most clout. And he aligned himself with a minor group which was mainly the Tories and a few Polish nutjobs. Sturgeon is not that stupid.
the woman is an idiot....she put a survey for Scots on facebook....but anyone could fill it in....all you needed was an email address (disposable) a name (fake) and Scottish postcode (easily acquired online...I used a hotel)
We may not agree with her politics, but she is the first minister of Scotland ( elected) so saying " she is an idiot "" really ?
She wants her haggis and eat it.
Predictable reply ag.:'(
The SNP had 54 MPs elected to represent Scotland in the UK Parliament. Are you really saying they shouldn't. Are you really that politically naive?

Fair enough gromit but running around trying to leave the UK at the same time as trying to run it just looks a bit hypocritical. If Scotland wants "independence" then let them have it, just *** Whining about it.
she wants Scotland to be independent as then she gets to be a prime minister and sit at the top table

ans wants London to pay and pay and pay

what is wrong with that ?

I think she may get unseated by the idea of independence is getting in her way of running a country
I can't understand her idea, she doesn't want to be told what to do by Westminster, but wants to be told what to do by Brussels.

How does that make them independent ?
'Clutching at straws' comes to mind.
1rovert, you asked exactly the same question on another thread on Saturday morning and I replied to it. Didn't you understand me?
// "The Will Of Her People"?
TTT, you seem to believe that the will of a people is fixed and permanent. Surely all you need to do is look at the political history of the UK to see that is an absurdity. In the past 50 years we have had ten different governments... Tory or Labour...split exactly 5 of each!
Are you suggesting that, once we've elected one lot, they should remain in power permanently thereafter? People are perfectly capable of changing their minds about independence in exactly the same way, surely?// QM

yeah OK if I understand you:
when do we get the second referendum on Brexit ?
Sorry QM, but memory's going.
Peter Pedant, the English alone among UK residents came up with the Brexit decision, so I suggest you ask an English person and I'm not one of them. I couldn't give a good goldarn whether there is another Brexit vote or not, though quite a few English seem to feel there ought to be one!
Sadly for them, the only English person whose opinion on the matter seems to count - Mrs May - has said, “No!” So, there you have it! Ask ‘er, mate!
NICOA DEAR ..we do NOT want independence...BE TOLD !!
anneasquith, my reason for saying she is an idiot is that she puts what is supposed to be a serious survey for Scots only on Facebook and sets it up so that anybody from anywhere in the world can access it and respond.
Question Author
QM: "....., the English alone among UK residents came up with the Brexit decision," - err nope, 1m+ Scots voted brexit too.
TTT, I was quite clearly referring to the majorities in the four constituent parts of the UK. It was abundantly obvious, surely, that I did not mean anything silly, such as "every single Scottish voter said 'no'". Only the majority in ONE element of those constituent parts...the English element...wanted Brexit.
Question Author
It is perhaps statistically useful to analyse the vote by area or demographics but utterly futile as it its s simple binary choice for the UK as a whole. You could probably say that shoppers at Ikea voted to remain but you'd hardly say that the ASDA shoppers alone voted for brexit would you? No your cherry picking stats to suit your argument is easily deflected.
