The Kinnocks are irrelevant, the Tory Party isn’t in disarray, and as for salvaging what Peter Pedant describes as economic advantages, to whose real economic advantage is it that we remain in the single market which carries with it the obligation to allow the free movement of people, one of the fundamental principles the majority of the electorate...

She refused to decide anything yet, but that's not the same as saying she would bring him into the discussions.
// I don't think the Tories are in disarray. //

- PM who says he is not going to resign, then resigns.
- Architect of his downfall then loses his bottle and doesn't stand.
- The polite Pixie goes bonkers and betrays all his mates.

Does not sound like any orderly handover to me.
No, of course it isn't.
^that was to OG.
Togo....20:02........And you have not owned up to your sloppy Kinnock research !

Research is so easy, now that we all have the 'net, so I can't understand why you can get it so wrong ?

Gromit....nothing whatsoever "orderly" about the Tory succession !
?

Leader resigns.

Candidates stand.

Elections held.

What'snot orderly about that?
Jack....you forgot the bit about :::::

"no-hoper, who says that he isn't suitable for the job, and doesn't want the job anyway, then stabs the Number One contender in the back, and subsequently changes his mind and thinks that he might be suitable after all"

Orderly ? An enjoyable farce maybe.
I have decided to adopt your scattergun tactics mikey, you know, post it as an aggravation and deflection. You didn't, I note refute the facts though, just protested that they were flagged up. When I say scattergun, I think back to likening some posters as being like space hoppers in a minefield. Lots of boom and bang, no direction.
Voyeurism Jackdaw. Mikey professes to know more about the Tory leadership campaign than the other one. Haha. Echo chamber tactics are long dead.
Togo....But I did refute your "facts" and they were all wrong, and it was all due to your sloppy research....

motto...Check your facts before posting and must try better !
Is that the Kinnock who had to resign in a corruption scandal.
And then was brought back,,,,and put in charge of combatting corruption?
To be fair, reporting of corruption went down on his watch through the cunning expedient of sacking any whistle-blowers.
That Kinnock, mikey?
I suppose the Tory leadership succession is subjective.
To me it doesn't looked planned. The Prime Minister who didn't want to go, the heir apparent who chickened out at the last moment.
But to others it seems normal and run of the mill.
Why should mikey defend Corbyn? Corbyn's going nowhere and mikey's going to follow him there.
//Togo....But I did refute your "facts" and they were all wrong, and it was all due to your sloppy research.... //

Which of the facts do you find erroneous mikey, do highlight them. Old facts perhaps but bitingly true. Then again Labour mindset demands that we forget historic and uncomfortable recollections and move on to inventing new and exciting imaginary ones. Every thread that you "contribute" to is laced with your acidic drip, drip anti Royalty, and Conservative drum and klaxon. Is that perhaps the reason for your deafness? You blindness is perhaps the result of other pastimes.
Togo! Come, come!
Togo....I have already pointed put that your "research" on the Kinnocks was sloppy and wrong......I don't think I need to repeat myself again.

Just admit you got it wrong !
Togo's research was not 'wrong', it was just out of date. At the time of publication it was accurate.
Don't Jackdaw. The latest facts are even worse. I just wanted to update at my own speed, but can hardly see for the tears of laughter.
// The Kinnock "family business" is the Eu pyramid scheme which has, up to date, gleaned in excess of £10million for the franchise. //

Whilst the Neil Kinnock drew a generous salary like Leon Briton and Chris Patten before him, and Glenys got her MEP salary like Farage has for 17 years, it is hard to see how the £10million figure is arrived at.

Neil Kinnock was a commissioner for 9 years (1995-2004) on £200,000/year = £1.8million
Glynis was an MEP for 12 years on £80,000/year = £0.96million
