The Kinnocks are irrelevant, the Tory Party isn’t in disarray, and as for salvaging what Peter Pedant describes as economic advantages, to whose real economic advantage is it that we remain in the single market which carries with it the obligation to allow the free movement of people, one of the fundamental principles the majority of the electorate...

Jack....if Farage was an honourable man, he would have resigned in Friday 24th June. But instead, he has decided to hoover up all that lovely dosh, from an organisation that he despises.

But I still don't understand why he should be part of any negotiating Team ?

If his only MP would to be suggested, then I would have some time for that but Farage is a Leader, of a minor Party. If he is part of any Team, then perhaps Leanne Wood, Caroline Lucas, Nicola Sturgeon, et al should be invited as well ?
Blimey Mikey your frightening me now
// If his only MP would to be suggested, then I would have some time for that //

There are strong hints that Carswell is about to be thrown out of UKIP this week. Farage says it could happen tomorrow.
//why is Farage and his motley crew still there ?//

He's there to watch for the stitch ups. I bet Kinnochio is still there and his brood. Put St Farage in chare of negotiations as I have already advocated. They cant fool him, he has monitored every sly trick for us over the last 17 years. Without him we would still be enslaved. The EUSSR is still there (for now) How many Remainers have made plans to move to the 1 state zone?
Bertrum......just trying to apply some logic to this discussion about the negotiating Team.

Farage is a spent force. His Party has now made itself redundant, which was its one and only intention and policy, right from the start. He and UKIP have been 100% successful, and made themselves wealthy in the process.

Brexit is going to affect the whole nation, and its only fair that a cross-section of our home grown politics should be represented on this Team.

Farage has no place on it.
Politicians conveniently keep changing sides to benefit themselves.

Up until the referendum Theresa May was a Eurosceptic.

Hans.
Gromit...thanks for cheering me up !

Togo.....Kinnock and his wife stopped being involved in the EU a long time ago. Thier son won a seat at Westminster in 2015.

But you knew that didn't you, so I am somewhat mystified by your comments at 18:03. Are you making things up as you go ?
No.
They clearly have no idea of what is required or they wouldn't have opposed it, and are likely to settle for an inadequate offer.
Zacs-Master, //Why do you think Farage would be a good Brexit negotiator N & B?//

Because he wouldn’t ‘negotiate’ compromises that are in any way detrimental to the wishes of the majority of country. He, unlike the ‘Remainers’ isn’t afraid, and like Brexiters, he wants ‘out’ on our terms.

Mikey, //Why there is a call to have Farage in any British Government Team is beyond me....shouldn't he get himself elected first ?//

He is elected.

Gromit, //Farage would run a mile from that job.//

Bet he wouldn’t – and no, they are not laughing at him.
The Kinnock "family business" is the Eu pyramid scheme which has, up to date, gleaned in excess of £10million for the franchise. Wicked, but not a surprise. The true greedy, self serving attitude of our self appointed saviours of socialism. Pah. They will get away with it as long as they can count on the slavish devotion of the dogma junkies.
Question Author
"He has a point....why is Farage and his motley crew still there ? " - could it be mikey, because we are still in the EU while the remainiacs run around trying to find was they can welch on the vote. Nigel and co will stay until he is no longer needed. Add a 0 to that zacs for our imports from the EU, do you think they may be concerned about one of their best customers? Stop flogging that dead horse.
Togo...drivel...the Kinnock Family has nothing whatsoever to do with Brexit..
Try to stay on topic !

By the way, Leon Brittan was also appointed as European Commissioner, although you seemed to have forgotten this.

TTT...you voted for the Tories in 2015, so its up to your Party of your choice to get their act together over this imminent leadership battle.

You and I have said repeatedly on here, that Boris was going to be the next Leader, but we were led astray by Gove's duplicity and treachery.

I am not a Member of the Tory Party, nor do I suspect you are either, so let them get on with it. I'm sure that a new Leader will "arise"

Its not as if they hadn't had much practise in choosing someone in recent years is it ?
The goal of UKIP cannot stop at getting a referendum it has to be at least exit from the EU and arguably it's destruction so it can't trap any other nation, nor use it's power against nations it's no longer keen on. Meanwhile the UK is still part of the EU and the honorable thing for our representatives to do is to continue in the job and not opt out prematurely.

Farage may be a good negotiator because he's wise to the EU, unafraid, not likely to cave in, takes no schit, and can be trusted to only agree a true exit. The one possible concern may be his ability to antagonise the opposition and cause an inflexible attitude from them. But even that's better than getting stuffed like some are, trying to access a single market no matter what the cost.
By the way, anybody seen or heard anything of Osborne recently?
mikey4444 ///Gromit (16:40)......1-0 to Junker methinks ! ///

That's it. I'm having a bet on Juncker to get the sack this year.
Not since he abandoned targets and blamed Brexit for his failure.
Jack.....he is probably at Dorneywood, thinking up new excuses why none of his financial projections are going to come true....again.
Kinnock is of course squealing loud to overturn the democratic vote, whilst getting embroiled with the press after a dinner with "drinks" this week.
Can we not highlight all MPs and former ones who have an opinion? Or do we now ignore them and wipe the slate clean? (Slate from Wales mind)
