. . . . Baldric. Went down the Country Park about 6pm, dropped him, Roger and Mrs B off at the top car park, then I went down to the bottom one by Reculver Towers to pick them up. Walking up the hill to meet them I could see him sat down around the half way point, no way to get a car any closer, so it took us a while to do the second half with some help from a couple of folks we've never seen before, aren't people nice?
Anyway we're home and he's gone to bed for the moment with a large G & T and some pain killers. Lesson learned.

Full marks for trying, Baldric. I suppose Roger was ok?
Question Author
No more painkillers tonight, G & T as required.
If we could he put a saddle on Roger we would have been fine, still doing the duracell bunny thing.
Oh well a bit to much to soon, you live and learn. Hope your feeling better tomorrow Baldric.
Anyhoo how large is a large G & T, only home measures are different to pub measures ;-)
Question Author
Probably twice the size if I'm pouring them ;-)
Give him a hug from us, LTD, that'll frighten him.
Ah that's alright then, a proper measure.
Not good to try to do too much too early.

'Specially at his age....
Oh dear, I am sure he will recover, take care Baldric.
I would expect nothing less of Baldric. We just know he will "push" himself to get to where he wants to be. (Done it, when I was in recovery mode) Tell him that we understand and salute, but he must use an incremental pattern, with increasing levels of endurance. Bet you he is up early tomorrow full of viss and pinegar.(^_*)
plenty of ice with the gin, 80% of that with 20 of tonic, slice and squeeze of lime...no ladder or umbrella thing in the glass please, it's naff.
Tanqueray my preference for a G&T......

"What did the Captain of the Exxon Valdez say?"

"I said a Tanqueray on the rocks, not a tanker....."

He's having to rough it with Gordon's, he'll survive. Think you're right Togo.
Think the last one was about 50/50 DTC.
a wuss drink!
Funny that dt. I once knew an old boy(suppose I'm one now) who swore that the only genuine G&T was Beefeater gin with Hunt's Tonic.
