The EU Referendum is by a great distance, the most important vote that this generation has to decide...however...

Is anyone else absolutely bored to death with it?

Seriously - there's the rabid Brexit side and the mental Remainiacs...and they...just...won't...shut...up.

It's seems to have been going on for ages now...

It feels like the third hour of Eurovision when you've run out of Prosecco and Albania is on.

Am I alone in wanting it to be over and done with???

It is important. And one wants the undecided not to be foxed by the other lot.

But up to the point that I don't purposely look out for referendum programmes and web stuff, sure.
I've already voted (postal) - amazing how liberating that is ...
It will soon be over.
You are dead right sp. They just won't shut up about it. Opening thread after thread after thread, ad nauseam:-)

The Countryfile edition on the EU was pretty good...but really, it's got to a point now where Leave vs Remain smells exactly like Man Utd vs Everton.

I think that everything that could possibly be argued has been argued...and we still have another sixteen days to go!

My hope is that whoever wins, the other side will y'know...pipe down for a bit.

Exactly - there should be a moratorium.

Or perhaps, I should understand your barbed comment to me?
I thought Man Utd liked being in Europe.
It is the month bamma-lamma -dan
and I am entering a Brexit-fast !

no brexit talk evva ..... I feel great
I too have voted and also feel liberated.
The longer the debate goes on the more opinion seems to swing to 'leave' so I hope the penny drops for the undecided to vote 'out' although my head says the 'remain' camp will carry the day.
If the cap fits, sp. And i'd hardly call it barbed, more t-i-c. May just be that you don't see the irony in opening yet another thread on the very subject you claim to be "bored to death with."
Ah the irony :-D
"Am I alone in wanting it to be over and done with???"

No, but unfortunately it'll *never* be over - once the votes are counted, there'll continue to be endless backbiting, recriminations & wall-to-wall moaning from both sides, whichever way the result turns out.

Yep...I totally get your point...but my point is slightly different. The subject of my post isn't "Let's post something inane in favour of Leave of Remain", but more, "For God's sake...enough already."

The subject of the thread isn't the same as the thread itself.

But yes, I get where you're coming from.

I tell you what it feels like...it's like Man Utd and Everton have been playing in the FA Cup final for three months solid, and both sets of fans have run out of chants...

1. You have the best screen name of anyone on AB.

2. I fear you might be right, unless it's a landslide one way or the other, and I don't see that happening.
Okay, sp, understand what you're saying:-) Must say i agree totally with what L-I-K says in his post. There will very probably be lots of "told you so's" long, long after the event, whichever way the vote goes.
sp - why, shucks & ta :-)

I don't foresee a landslide for either side either, but can't you imagine the sounds of anguished wailing & gnashing of teeth from the losing side in any case?

"Noooooooooo! The world's ended, going to live in a cave..."
I watched The Victoria Derbyshire Programme yesterday, discussion/debate with studio audience.
Some of whom had made up their minds, some hadn't, after nearly 2 hours of insults and shouting was over, some swapped sides, soome undeciders had made up their minds
I was disgusted. PMQ's isn't nearly as bad for insulting folk as that programme was.
It's been frustrating listening to the badly formed arguments on both sides.
ED...I have said this before, but we need facts, not ill-informed opinions, from both sides.

Is it any wonder that so many people, including lots of young people, are still saying, even this late in the day, that they don't know which way to vote ?
