Of course the EU referendum is 'completely unnecessary'. Had DC grown a pair he could have got us out already.
God, even more reason to leave now !!
//to avoid the 'ultimate disaster' of a Brexit vote//

Disaster for the EU not the UK. They need us and our money. We don't need them and their 'stinkin Euro' :-)

//Angela Merkel believes the UK referendum on the EU is a 'completely unnecessary' //

She's running Europe. Does it really matter what she thinks?

SP, I think AOG is being facetious.
Merkel needs to perhaps focus on problems much closer to Deutschland!
AOG

Are you being facetious?
SP ... the clue is in his heading. It goes under the guise of a question - it's not a statement.

Strange that one needs to explain the obvious to one who banders around his intelligence, whilst classing others as morons.
AOG

You mean 'bandies', not banders.

There is a verb 'bander', but that means 'to mark, decorate, or furnish with a band or bands.'

And please believe me when I say that I only think that some are morons. Only a few. Mainly people who use the wrong word when trying to castigate others.
I really hope she comes over here to read out DC's little speech! Worth thousands of votes i.m.o..
