All welcome on board as far as I'm concerned. If unexpected alliances occur against the common enemy then great, lets just get out.

yes jim but most of those people are enthusiasts and as such the nations are less important than the "project"! and as such national considerations are at best ignored and at worst suppressed.
I don't see any sudjugation of the type you're alluding to. I see a nation more prosperous than we've seen for a long time.

Really? You must still be in your teens Zacs! I see a nation struggling to get by in the throes of austerity whilst ***ing money away in foreign aid and on immigrants as homelessness increases, more people are using food banks and the NHS and other infrastructure struggles to cope.
When I was in my teens we had the three day week and power cuts. People rarely had foreign holidays. 1 car was a luxury. Remember those days?

....then TGL, smashed those unions into dust eh Zacs!
She did TLG.
All I hope for is that 23rd June becomes our 4th July.
Jackdaw,
You do realise that the 4th of July was when the colony rid itself of the British tyranny?
My point exactly, Gromit.
Lol, gromit appears to have a very low opinion of you, jackdaw.
I don't care about who votes 'out', just as long as they vote 'OUT!' There are bound to be different factions and reasons for voting and I will be on the same side as some people for whom I do not care. The same would apply were I daft enough to vote for the 'Remain' side.

A broad spectrum is, I would think, an advantage.
Spot on, Jourdain. Let us hope that the electorate will imitate the late De Gaulle with a massive NON!

It's OUT BROTHERS OUT! from here.
Baldric - we need the inimitable Miriam Karlin with her whistle! :)
'Everybody out!'
//It would be a shame if you lose the vote because you are an utter shambles.//

Posted by one who insists he hasn't made his mind up yet. Haha. Many a slip twixt cup and lip.
Oh yes, I remember that; The Rag Trade.
// Spot on, Jourdain. Let us hope that the electorate will imitate the late De Gaulle with a massive NON!//

ah Jourdain ma p'tite cherie.....
you are referring to the referendum de Gaulle lost and so he resigned in a fit of pique francaise ( and that was the end of him )
I love the irony. The left wing were soooo pro Eurape. Smash the robber baron right wing business leaders and have a nice big socialist state. Hasn't quite worked for them though has it. There never was much stomach for trade unionism in the rest of Euripe. They had communist fascist states on their doorsteps though did they not.( Frogs may be excepted)
Who told us to beach our vast fishing fleet and bulldoze it only to let Spanish boats fish our grounds and lie up in our fishing ports. We were subjugated and good, brave men lost their jobs whilst foreign fishing boats deplete fish stocks.
I was referring to 1963 and 1967 when De Gaulle said,'NON', to our application to join what was then known as the Common Market.

Jourdain, did you really mean what PP said, 'cos I'm having trouble fitting Miriam Karlin in there?
;o)
