If you had ever transgressed and required legal advice I think you would fare far better for yourself if you listened to NJ rather than me.
I can understand a person's reluctance to disclose certain information regarding their occupation especially in this evil world. It is known as" a need to know basis" i.e. I know but ,with respect, you don't need to know.
I don't suck up to anyone but I trust NJ's wisdom and value his posts. His current legal status is really irrelevant IMO.

everyone knows if you want proper legal advice - you have to pay for it.

FredPuli was a criminal QC who is now dead ( ca bile duct ) and Barmaid is a chancery QC who underwent meltdown poor girl when someone asked her if she really knew what she was talking about ..... but still posts when we make a real mess of wills and so on ....

most people use it for a free second opinion in law and think 'o is that what you think' because after all they havent paid for it and have no intention of taking it seriously

as for Lord Janner let him rest in peace - I am old enough to know that being accused of something and being found guilty of it are two completely different things ....

Is this 'you can't libel the dead' malarky the whole truth or is there a limit to comment on the mouldering?
I only ask as some get very excited about stuff on here and we wouldn't want an 'oops' moment.

Well if someone calls themself New Judge , I would expect them to be on the cusp of being a 'Judge' at the very least so with that comes a certain standard of knowledge...so what did I say wrong? Really?
He /She is doing a job...he/she freely gives out advice but cant answer how long they have been a Judge? Why call yourself a Judge , he could have called him/herself Dandelion...

You could always look at any posters profile and go through their answer history and check at
your leisure with google the veracity of the information dispensed for the benefit of most of us.
There are many posters who will happily reveal their most intimate medical problems to Sqad who is a retired doctor. You want to challenge him as well. ? He could be a Charlatan.
Personally I distrust someone who seems reluctant to disclose their gender but then that's just me. You are either a HE or a SHE or a Hermaphrodite imo. :-)

Lets get off "Who is NJ" can we. This post is not about him . He is not abusive and just answers to almost everyone's satisfaction and offers valid opinions without spite or malice. He has a sense of humour. What do want ?The effing pope to debate with you and offer absolution? NJ is pretty much everything I am not so just be grateful for his input.
