They pledge death or conversion, so at some point the human race is going to have to deal with this problem, is some sort of apocalypse inevitable?

I think that anyone living or working in any capital city has good cause to be afraid.
I second that, Jack.
Perhaps confining them to their murderous inclinations on each other instead of the whole world is a start then.
I posted this missive last night and thought it was apt here too.

These freaks say Russia is next; I can't watch the video, but I've read the text;

I would advise ... don't watch the video.
I just read what it contained.
What would Napoleon do? Make a speech condemning their empire building probably.
Very interesting indeed. I think I mentioned just after I joined AB that young Muslim's attitudes hardened and they became aggressive about the time that young imams arrived in Bradford from Saudi Arabia.

Thanks for posting that link.

Some very worrying conclusions, but as you have already said very informative.
Glad it was of interest to you sp.
Just out of general interest have you read much about Napoleon, sp?

I don't know if the late comedian Bill Hicks would appeal to you but he did do a piece expressing his fear that a fundamentalist Christian president would be sat there, with their finger on the button saying "Tell me when, Lord, tell me when."

I've seen some bloggers opine that ISIS fundamentalists are equally keen on this ghastly tailspin of events and they are within easy reach of the required geographical feature.

//I don't wish to sound like Goodlife but the site of Armageddon is traditionally said to be located in the Middle East.

Look for Meggido, on Google Earth, if you want to see this in 3D, or Google maps if you don't want to install GE.

I'm looking for an infographic which depicts Napoleon's march to Moscow and back as a black line whose width is proportional to the number of troops he had. It is quite an eye opener. There were few significant battles, most of the losses just froze to death or from starvation, thirst, disease or exhaustion.

For Hitler, we have the figure of 6 million Jews all drummed into us but only if you search the internet can you find out how many of his own troops and civilians he caused to be killed. He also gave Japan ideas which led to millions more deaths on the other side of the world.

That is the effect imperialists have on their fellow human beings (even if imperialists can be regarded as human).

Of course, here on AB, expressing disdain of imperialism can cause you to be labelled "anti-British". Our Empire did bad things and it gives me no joy to speak of them but, if I feel it appropriate in a thread, I will do so. I support Britain but not the one from the past, when it trampled countries because we had long range weapons and they did not.

Well now they do because we, Russia and the USA gave them the means to acquire them.
Now we all pooh ourselves because we know they do not have the restraint or intelligence to know how to use them.

My knowledge of Napoleon is slightly above zero.

In fact, all I know is that he wasn't short, as is often depicted.

Why do you ask?
I think he is a poor choice of avatar to use in support of the French

I would not have used someone who ordered the mass murder of children as my avatar to show support against ....................terrorists.
When did someone ask you for conversion or death?
@Khandro

read your 16:47 link. Managed to avoid the video, despite its attempts to start up all by itself. Or else it was because the page was so slow loading that my attempts to scroll down to read more text caused an accidental click on the hotspot.

An adjacent story is about the setting on fire of the Calais camp, in the aftermath of Friday. I recall the BBC reporting this but rapidly backpeddling with reference to footage being from 2 days prior. I was going to leap in (one of many threads, forget which, to 'correct' Svejk, with Beeb version but he was right).

By the by, this is the only thing Snopes has about Walid Shoebat

I saw a "donate to help persecuted Christians" link on the page you linked to and briefly wondered if he was tricking Christians into contributing to something completely other but he is, by all accounts, a convert to Christianity. Shame on me for name-based prejudice.
