I'll be ready for them, I've got a 'spider catcher'.
I am fine with them - I catch them very gently in a paper hanky and put them outside and say bye bye
EEK..couldn`t eat a whole one!

I also have a spider catcher, unfortunately it's a jack russell!
I have just bought my refill of Spider Stop Spray. I will be spraying all nooks and crannies later. Failing that they get hoovered up. ///shudder\\\\
No, but you and all the family can have a leg each Minty.
We had one in the house a couple of days ago, it was frickin mahoosive, barely fit under the rim of a pint glass. I put it in the garden and you could see it scuttling through the grass.
Its an EEEEEK from me as well !
Whenever I see them I either stamp on them or whack them with a big metal ruler - that teaches 'em!
Having had a tarantula crawl, across my hand (deliberately) I ain't bovvered.
Spiders are good house guests....but killing one brings bad luck......just look at Mrs Johnstone...... :-(
They are already here. Mr U has already had three blood curdling screams to deal with.
Oh gawd, sounds like more eviction jobs for me then. Spiders don't bother me.
I don't like the larger ones but can't bring myself to kill them (not that I'd want to get close enough!). Made the mistake of not noticing the one on my back door when opening it recently and ended up with an unwanted guest on the arm of my dressing gown!!!!!! I wasn't impressed. It took a bit of encouraging to get off my arm too.

I live alone so it's all on me unfortunately.
I don't mind spiders, and usually just pick them up in my hand and chuck them out of the window. I don't really fancy picking up a 12 cm one, though.
Harmless spiders,,wait until you meet a venomous one.
12cm - blimey that's nearly 5 inches in real money - if I saw one that big I'd have to hit it with my Cricket Bat!!
