If you cannot see that violent death where complete strangers kill each other as a matter of survival, when the larger picture that put them there remains unchanged, and their deaths are futile because of that - is a tragic thing, then I am not sure I can explain it to you.
Either you think futile violent death is sad, or you don't - personally I don't attach a load of conditions to it - I suspect that you do, so we differ.

If they read what I have said, they will find that I have offered no 'protection' whatever to anyone today.
As to whether people agree with me or not, I am not so insecure as to need the agreement of anyone, nice though it is if it comes along.
