Abu Hamza al-Masri has been sentenced to life in prison by a court in New York for supporting terrorism.

He was convicted in May of multiple charges, including hostage-taking and plotting to set up a terrorism training camp in the US.

His trial followed a lengthy extradition process from the UK.

During the sentencing, his lawyers asked the judge to take into account his missing hands and eye.

Trying to make out he's 'armless or something?

And good by the way!
Not seen as a joke/buffoon there as he was here then.
At last, I was beginning to think that the AB was all gloom today !Some cheery news to start the weekend with, thanks
I hope his family can move to be near him.
Good job he didn't get the electric chair. With those hooks sparks would be flying everywhere.
Those gunmen in France had connections to him, just said it in the news.

does the state of Colorado pay benefits?
Good - in the US, life is life. Hope he rots, though he'll probably become a hooker.
Good. Shame we didn't do it.
"his lawyers asked the judge to take into account his missing hands and eye"
No chance of finding them and sentencing them too then?
We were too soft in this country, closing roads off in North London so he could spout his *** when he was barred from the mosque.

I know it was 8 long years and lots and lots of money for him to be eventually extradited but I'm glad he was sentenced in the US.

The prison he's going to the inmates spend more or less all their time in solitary. I hope he finds comfort in his God....
yes, some sort of supermax jail, isn't it. No getting out to work on the chain gang for him.
I don't suppose our government can't find a reason to send Anjem Choudray to the USA for a holiday as well. That would be Christmas again for me .At least the US lock up scum and throw away the key when they say LIFE. "Aye Aye your honour. I never had a hand in what I am being accused of " What was his disfigurement caused by? Bomb making wasn't it? Our government gave this prat refuge and benefits to live here as well. I despair.
British prosecutors said they didn't have the evidence, so he couldn't be tried. That's what makes Britain different from Russia, and I prefer it that way.
jno
I can't help but think that you seem to have no love for this country or Russia. Russia was mentioned by you from another post .Is that where you come from?
You seem to have no allegiance to this country but embrace the opinions of others who seem to hate MY country apparently and wish to criticise it but are happy to live here and enjoy the freedom and benefits it offers you.
No. We do yet have gulags here but maybe that is where the civilised western world are failing if we wish to show some deterrent effect against those who wish to do us harm
Almost permanent solitary confinement?

Couldnt have happened to a nicer fellow ...made my day! Yeees!
if you don't like mention of Russia, substitute "Saudi Arabia". Britain still has the rule of law; these other countries do not. As far as I am concerned this constitutes praise of Britain and is one reason I live here and not in Russia.
