We need to calm down guys ! The enemy isn't Islam, any more than the enemy wasn't the Catholic Church when we were fighting the IRA.
Setting fire to Mosques is a stupid idea and would just play into hands of Choudary, as Kromovaracun has said.
Its this ideology of hate that needs to be combated. The speaker who came on after Choudary this morning, whose name I can't remember I'm afraid, was right when he said that organised Islam in Britain needs to condemn with a lot more zeal than they have so far. There is ample evidence that these misguided and violent young British Muslim extremists are getting recruited and radicalised at their Mosques.
This problem isn't going to go away....people like Rigby's killers and that idiot Choudary have got a head of steam behind them. We need to change minds, not set fire to places of worship.

I have no sympathy for Islam, and like all religion I think it's a lodestone around humanity's neck. But based on the arguments I've had with the more assertive Muslims when they've been leafletting near me, the only word I have for them is "stupid." They were just completely incapable of thinking. They were allergic to rationality.

i think they are a big threat, and more of these killings will happen here.
That moderate Muslims don't say anything against these people says rather a lot about them and their religion, some may do, but have had death threats against them, and their families.

What is illegal about "responding to their threat of war"? Your remedy of internment requires an Act of Parliament, YMB. Closing all mosques would need one too, but no such Acts would ever pass without proper evidence that they were needed to keep the peace and to protect people from attack. Do you have any such evidence, that every mosque in Britain wants terrorist acts and murder and is encouraging that, or that every Muslim here presents a risk?

it is not about being cowed, it is however about seeing more atrocities because of their indoctrination into Islamic fundamentalism. If i looked over my shoulder at any perceived threat i wouldn't go out, but i wonder if any have been close to an area where a bomb has gone off and seen the results, been as close as one could get without being harmed, thank heavens, i have and i don't fancy another go.

Naomi...you should read Jakes post again, as I think you are getting confused. He hasn't suggested that setting fire to Mosques is a good idea at all...in fact he was condemning YMB's stance. Jake has also made a very intelligent comment about local Mosques offering tea and biscuits to the EDL...an excellent idea ! We should be building bridges.
