it is. It's unclear why Dacre senior, who was 19 at the time, didn't get into the military. Perhaps he had flat feet. Perhaps he just hated Britain. Who knows?
Express?

He should be sacked, if he is offspring of a rival paper.

I know which one my Dad was relying when landing on the D-Day beaches.

'From each according to his ability'
You beetroot munchers ought to know that.

Who or what is a beetroot muncher?
Don't say someone who eats Beetroot
Dacre's dad was the showbiz correspondent for the Daily Express.
---------------------
It was a very dangerous job at the time. Get too close and one might have suffered a nasty burn on a footlight.
Not forgetting, papercuts and having one's shirts ruined by all that newsprint.
Hopkirk...the Express is sadly not a rival for anything these days. If it wasn't for their continuing daft assertions regarding the late Princcess Diana, the paper would have withered way long ago. Never seen the point of it myself.
now don't be mean to the Mail. They say they have been smeared and want an apology

"I think there are people out there who need to apologise to us because there have been vicious accusations in the last couple days from Neil Kinnock among others that somehow this was an antisemitic attack by the Daily Mail."
