I'm seriously thinking of transferring my endowment mortgage payments to a termite hill. It looks like I might get more back at the maturity date.
I had a similar experience. Instead of keeping my money somewhere safe I stored it in a pension fund.

Now, I find I can't afford to retire because it's been eaten by maggots.
mikey, there was a time when a fool and his money were soon parted, but now it just happens to everybody.
I thought you might like an update. Since last Wednesday, the portion of my money I left in a termite mound has gone down 12%, whereas the portion I left with the the bankers has gone down 14%, so the termite investment is looking pretty sound, but it's early days yet.
