sex classes will be interesting
methyl

Regarding this thread, I also was surprised that it was introduced especially when one of the rules on AnswerBank is as follows.

/// We understand that debates get heated, but personal attacks and abusive language will not be tolerated. ///

So I would have thought that there should be no need for a poll on the use of the word 'Bigot' since this would amount to a personal attack and abusive language.
When the rings have been exchanged what will the vicar or registrar then say, because it certainly won't be " I now pronounce you Man and Wife".
I do wish all the people who claim that they have biblical authority for only-one-man-only-one-woman marriage would just Read their bibles. The bible of the jews and christians actually permits a man to have as many wives as he likes, and allows him to have intercourse with any women servants who happen to be part of his household. Read the story of Abraham and the slave-girl Hagar, for a start.
atalanta - but does it advocate same sex activity?
AOG - I now pronounce you married.
Sir.P - I don't think that's the point she is making.
Thank you ummmm. I know full well what the point was. I merely asked if there was a reference to same sex activity.

I am still giggling at yesterday's comment which included 'gay-married'.

Bl00dy ridiculous.

When the rings have been exchanged what will the vicar or registrar then say, because it certainly won't be " I now pronounce you Man and Wife".

Simple - 'By the power vested in me, I now declare you married'.

I literally didn't even have to think about that.
Sorry ummm - didn't see your post.

Great minds and all that.
sir.prize.

Seriously - you're still giggling about that?

Since yesterday?

Outstanding.
Nor did I sp...!

There is mention about same sex activity. There is also mention about lots of things that are illegal today!

Anyway...thought you found this topic boring?

"So I would have thought that there should be no need for a poll on the use of the word 'Bigot' since this would amount to a personal attack and abusive language."

No it isn't. The AB Editor is not calling those opposing equal marriage bigots.

Also, if you care to look through this thread, you will notice that it has been conducted in a very adult and reasonable manner, with all sides of the argument putting their points across without resorting to abuse.

ummm

Me?

I didn't find this topic boring.

Or are you referring to sir.prize?

Sp...That was to Sir.p :-)
