me too - a load of old codswallop as my old mum used to say.
How many times are they allowed to vote before the finally elect a new Pope ?, is it a set amount or as many times as it takes ?.

After a certain number of votes their rations are reduced. If they keep failing for long enough they're put on a bread and water diet.
Hunger concentrates the mind.

No. That's altogether different. No Pope here simply means there's no Pope yet.

In that case minty I have a feeling that this election may take some time.
It usually takes 5/7 days..anxious to get one in before Easter a very special time in the Catholic calender..so they may get a wriggle on...
Each of the 'sitting' priest finds it a challenge to select someone. None of them is sin-less or suitable of the title, Pope.
