/// They wouldn't want to go to all the trouble of interning all the exPats. ///

Why would they want to intern all possible enemies, do we?
In the last war we interned Jews who had escaped from Germany. During the first Gulf War a number of Iraqis living in Belfast were arrested and held without trial for a while.
I think it's what happens to enemy aliens in time of strife.
Actually it's Ceuta that gets Spain bent out of shape - their own Gibralta a piece of occupied Morocco immediately opposite

If we wanted to be childish we could sail in there uninvited
don't panic as corporal jones would say, we are more likely to go to war with Germany before any war with Spain. Twice bitten, thrice shy maybe.
Third time lucky Em? :c)
2 WWs, 1 WC!
America interned all Japanese as far as i know, some see this as sensible as you just wouldn't know who your enemies are or might be. I didn't by the way say that was right, but that would be down to the respective countries policies on internment.
well we supposedly did win both times, though you would hardly know it now.
Oh boy, do we have hostages for any trades, there's over 50 valuable internments that we can trade in the top two football divisions in England alone.....what's Torres worth then? To some, I guess, not much, ditto the current Arsenal five.

/// Well one European Naval ship enters European waters ///

/// Big deal ///

Read the report, not one European Naval ship, but two Spanish Naval ships, and not European waters, but British Gibraltarian sovereign waters.

/// Commons Leader Andrew Lansley said two Spanish naval vessels entered the waters of Gibraltar on Monday. ///

/// Speaking in the Commons, Mr Stewart told MPs: 'May I gently remind the House that an illegal incursion into British Gibraltarian sovereign waters is actually, technically an act of war? ///

wait until Cameron makes a speech in the House about it, condemning loudly all hostile acts held by the Spanish Navy, then we are safe in the knowledge that nothing will be done.
What do you suggest then aog, nuking them?
good idea, let's really push the boat out, as long as we have someone at the helm, perhaps Ben Ainslie is free
What would they do with the Mata Hari, known as Mrs Clegg?
Internment?
Let's nationalise Santander
So what's the bad news in Spain that Mariano Rajoy or King Juan Carlos want covering up?
Spain is having just as bad a time of it as we are, that their economy has hit the skids, that their youth employment is high, that before long ex pats will come home because they will lose their homes because the property market has fallen through the floor, hola.
apologies once again, sticky keyboard, that's my excuse, that should of course read high unemployment amongst Spain's young people.
